QUOTE(sonotme @ Jan 26 2011, 12:26 AM) QUOTE(claxxion @ Jan 26 2011, 02:04 AM) Our campro engines are thirsty engines, gearshifts needed to be done with the correct RPM, and a light foot is needed in order to achieve better FC. Mine auto, on average normal usage I get 320km for RM50. Full highway drive under the speed limit I get 413kms on a full tank, my record. QUOTE(coolkwc @ Jan 26 2011, 08:15 AM) From ur car FC figure, for sure ur is Auto tranny... Added on January 26, 2011, 8:18 am I guess ur also. Don't dream about 13km/l for auto tranny in city drive. Mine manual always hit that number. QUOTE(+Newbie+ @ Jan 26 2011, 10:08 AM) a) First 1000, the mileage is inaccurate. Mileage will improve as your engine settles in. Thank you all for providing me such fantasy information! b) Your calculation methods should be the following:- 1) Pump full tank and reset mileage counter to zero. 2) Drive like normal until next refill. 3) Pump full tank again. 4) Make note of how much you pump and how much mileage you travelled. 5) Reset your counter again and repeat the above steps at least 3 times to get an average. The more the better. Use those figures you noted to calculate the FC. So far, manual cars seem to be able to get 11 - 13++ km/l. Auto trannies can get around 9 - 11++ km/l. Depends on traffic conditions and driving style. If you're heavy footed in a jam, sorry lar, you'll never get good FC. And I can tell you, this car is very very thirsty in a jam. Personally, I drive through hell everyday and occassionally go menggila, I can get around +-10km/l. I've noticed vast improvement since I toned down my driving. Your FC is damn good, man!! You always keep under 3k? |

The naming i think should go like this:
Proton saga 1. old saga 2. new saga 1. saga 1.5, 1.3 iswara, 1.3 LMST 2. BLM, FL 2. BLM - N-line, B-line, M-line and SE 2. FL - B-line, M-line (Executive) |

QUOTE(DaBestOne @ Jan 26 2011, 01:54 PM) BLM where got H-line... From lowest to highest should be BLM N-line -> BLM B-line -> FL B-line-> BLM M-line -> BLM SE -> FL executive in terms of price and accesories. Powerwise, same, 1.3 Campro IAFM top speed wise, reverse the order, BLM N-line manual highest, because lightest amongs all Saga BLM/FL. maybe 5km/h faster This post has been edited by coolkwc: Jan 26 2011, 02:25 PM |

What engine oil rating do most of you guys use?
Im currently using Nasa 10W-40 but from what i've read some said 10W-40 is considered thich and many would opt for 10W-30. But from what i think, 10W-30 is a little thin. So? |

I guess the 10W-30 is more suited for smaller engines, like in the kelisa. But then, you never know unless you try. My SC does not allow bringing in your engine oil, and they only provide petronas oils. The 15W-50 syntium seems so thick and heavy. But what to do, I have to retain the warranty for a little while for peace of mind.. |

QUOTE(Aishinka @ Jan 26 2011, 12:26 AM) Same thing i'm facing here. I just pumped full tank(from 2 bars) for RM55.20, and the car only travelled 214km, before hitting the 2 bar petrol mark. Why is this so, shouldn't i be getting like at least 400km? Since its like 13km++/l claimed by some people? dun worry, its bcos of the new engine been in breaking in process, and also lousy engine oil for the fist 1k km in order for it to break in, so will be more "thirsty" ... and please don't be afraid to rev ur engine hard enough during the 1st 1k km in order to break in b4 changing to a better engine oil after 1k service, this process is imp bcos it will decides the rest of your engine life to be power, fc , and lifespan of it.btw me got my FL on 6th jan, rev gao2 b4 1k service.. haha "kiasu type". then at 1st quite FC, then change @ 1k service liao... slow2 you will feel smoothy of your engine... feel it.... b4 1k service is suppose to be rough2 de .... this is my exp, just to share Added on January 26, 2011, 3:38 pm QUOTE(Jet23sky @ Jan 26 2011, 11:03 AM) o ya, before I get my new car. Does anyone know if the Kesas CoSE allows people to bring their own engine oil?
I'm thinking of getting my own engine oil in when i service 10K next week. Theirs is expensive. QUOTE(claxxion @ Jan 26 2011, 03:21 PM) In city drives, yeah. Highways, sometimes I exceed 3k. QUOTE(max_cjs0101 @ Jan 26 2011, 05:02 PM) I know. Tell ur SC to write 'brand (self purchase)' rather than 'own engine oil'. it sounds like made by 'max_cjs0101 Oil Company'... The boss told me that if there's problem with your engine then we wont guarantee it. I just made coolface.jpg and paid RM16 for other parts. |
