hey guys,i'm updating my firmware now using the odin method,
however, I don't see any files inside code folder to be added to PDA option

but if i view them manually then it's there

or i have to add the unzip code folder to pda option?

if yes,then read the FAQ

Take your time to read through V1,V2 and here. Or do a search button.
There are so many FW and some are slight different.

Try not to PM me for something that can be answered here or is searchable.

Added on August 16, 2010, 10:25 amReboot the phone after setting the wallpaper.
Sometimes it gets stuck. I had mine not work before, but after a restart, the wallpaper switched.

Without really saying what has been done/hasn't been tried yet, it's quite hard to pin point a problem.

It's like saying my car can't start, but not saying much else.

Most firmwares will come with three tar files: CODE, CSC and MODEM. Read the first page and threads on XDA, all the info you need to flash your firmware and recover if there's a problem are documented.

Is MyBackup Pro for free?
i can only find MyBackup from market. but it's 30 days trial.

Uhhh.. isn't it obvious then that it's a paid app with a 30 day trial? Without market enabler, our region's Market will only show free apps.

Added on August 16, 2010, 11:10 amIf you want full-resolution wallpapers (and none of the blurriness from a zoomed image), ensure your image's native resolution is 960x800 px. The cropbox just ensures that you have the width and height ratios right.

Just upgraded my firmware to JG4, rooted and applied the lagfix as well

how do you feel? flying? Haha

I personally will use it together with autokiller, with aggressive preset.It feels much smoother, dunno how bout the rest

Just did the lagfix Beta 2.3.

Wonder is there anyway we can check which lagfix we had applied to the SGS?

but your firmware must not be JP3...

pretty weird... upgraded to lagfix beta 2.3 on my JG4

cant tell the speed as i didnt not install any sw to compare the speed but a very clear problem when i compare to 1.0.

on 1.0, switch from wifi to Edge (i keep my fon on GSM, for battery sake and also suggested by all the sifu here), it is immediate. But on 2.3... it take ages to switch back to Edge, ie i dun see the E beside the netwk strengh bar.

Then i tried to unfix the 2.3 and lagfix back to 1.0.. the immediate effect is back.. Dunno it is because it does not go well with JG4..

no problem for me in JM5

Proly it work fine with JM5.

I guess need to get odin and throw away Kies like u suggested

just brick my phone applying lagfix 2.3 =.= what the heck did i do wrong.....

question: it say on the instruction dont mount drive... but if i unmount the internal storage it will say error error error when running fixlag.bat
