QUOTE(eugene jk @ Jan 10 2011, 05:33 PM) Interesting someone adi selling 2nd hand Golf TSI with 20k decrease after 3 months of ownership... this one really good bargain.. This car... quite high mileage lor. Only 3 months already nearing 9k. First of all, we'll need to see why he's selling after just 3 short months. Something wrong with the car? http://www.mudah.my/Volkswagen+Golf+1+4+TS...ger-8036103.htm Added on January 10, 2011, 6:10 pm QUOTE(Cainz @ Jan 10 2011, 04:23 PM) Haha, 40k can get golf. Another 40k can get Scirocco, another 20k can get GTI, another 40k can get 210 Scirocco... That's why.... it depends on how much 'more' u can afford and willing to spend. Gotta go easy on my first ride in VW.. This post has been edited by futobuta: Jan 10 2011, 06:10 PM |

Most importantly, could all these sounds be rectified easily? Quite worrying to hear paying more than RM200K for a car and yet facing all these issues. |

This due some kind of cheap rubber they use along our door fame. There is some fix for it but not all ppl like to do so. Other then that the VW GTI is awsome! QUOTE(Silenced @ Jan 10 2011, 05:17 PM) Guys, whenever I turn the steering of my polo when stationary, the headlamp will turn dimmer and quickly back to normal again,is this normal? My Polo does it too...I don't think it's a problem. I initially suspected that it was adaptive headlights, but I doubt it's a feature on the Polo. Had something weird happen today, turned my engine off after I parked and then decided to repark, so I turned it back on and turned the A/C on, hot air (and I mean HOT air) started blowing, like the heater was set. The temp was only set at 22 degrees...but after I turned the A/C off and back on, it was fine. Also got a rattle that sounds like it's coming from the dashboard/engine compartment on idle...brought it to the service center, they kept the car for a day and told me that they can't fix the problem, something to do with the turbocharger. I read about some owners in Australia who had rattling sounds with their Polos and the fix was to reroute some of the piping in the engine bay. Anyone else experienced the rattling sound? Not a perfect car, but I still love it! |

Not a perfect car, but I still love it! Multiple pipes underbonnet and fuel lines noisy, roadtested vehicle with customer and confirmed presence of noises. Traced noise to fuel pipes rattling in chassis rail, removed pipes and insulated with foam, tested, noise now gone. Traced other noise to L/H/F chassis rail holder/clip adrift that holds P.A.S pipes. Refitted clip correctly, tested, noise now gone. Heard another noise, traced this noise to air coupipe rattling against chassis rail on R/H/S manovered pipe away from chassis, no noise evident now. close quote that was fixed by the SC in australia for the polo TSI |
