This car... quite high mileage lor. Only 3 months already nearing 9k. First of all, we'll need to see why he's selling after just 3 short months. Something wrong with the car? hmm.gif Then again, for just 20k difference, I prefer to get a new car with no mileage, the colour of my choice, no wear n tear, number plate of my choice, new car smell.... and the 'virgin' feel thumbup.gif . Somemore if u get a new 2010 car, the dealer might give u a good deal too.

Haha, 40k can get golf. Another 40k can get Scirocco, another 20k can get GTI, another 40k can get 210 Scirocco...
Gotta go easy on my first ride in VW..

That's why.... it depends on how much 'more' u can afford and willing to spend. brows.gif But the Polo is indeed a little bit small in the inside. It felt a little cramped when a fei chai like myself sat in it. sweat.gif

This is my first continental car, an upgrade from my previous ride, a Waja. I expected perfection from it, which it wasn't. doh.gif Some sound here n there, which needed to be rectified. Other than that, the ride is awesome. Very powerful. It really gives me the thrill when I step on it. thumbup.gif But once in a while, I do regret getting it nod.gif ..... regret not getting the sexier Scirocco 2.0 instead wink.gif .

What kind of sounds bro? Most importantly, could all these sounds be rectified easily?
Quite worrying to hear paying more than RM200K for a car and yet facing all these issues.

Door rattle sound.. this is common problem for all gti and golf maybe? This due some kind of cheap rubber they use along our door fame. There is some fix for it but not all ppl like to do so. Other then that the VW GTI is awsome! You will be impress with the power smile.gif.

The door seal issue is not so serious yet for me. I just wax them from time to time. The power is good.. but no chance to use it, cars are everywhere... doh.gif

U mean the scrolling button near where u turn on ur lights? But my golf's one can only set the brightness of ur meters, not height...

Parking lights are d ones that follow ur turning direction right?

If you're not used to that kinda power, I suggest u take it easy. The car can handle that kinda power, but our 'uncle' reflexes might not be ready for it. That's why I drove cautiously for 1 month before slowly pushing the car. thumbup.gif

My Polo does it too...I don't think it's a problem. I initially suspected that it was adaptive headlights, but I doubt it's a feature on the Polo.

Had something weird happen today, turned my engine off after I parked and then decided to repark, so I turned it back on and turned the A/C on, hot air (and I mean HOT air) started blowing, like the heater was set. The temp was only set at 22 degrees...but after I turned the A/C off and back on, it was fine.

Also got a rattle that sounds like it's coming from the dashboard/engine compartment on idle...brought it to the service center, they kept the car for a day and told me that they can't fix the problem, something to do with the turbocharger. I read about some owners in Australia who had rattling sounds with their Polos and the fix was to reroute some of the piping in the engine bay. Anyone else experienced the rattling sound?

Not a perfect car, but I still love it!

Refitted clip correctly, tested, noise now gone. Heard another noise, traced this noise to air coupipe rattling against chassis rail on R/H/S manovered pipe away from chassis, no noise evident now.

that was fixed by the SC in australia for the polo TSI

Yeah, I read that on the forum as well. Mentioned it to the SC, but I don't think he was really interested in my opinion on this.
