Car still shiny if kena heavy rain, for light and intermittent shower you still get waterspot problem. I hv G'zox Quartz coating on my Golf and it doesnt totally eliminate water spot. As shiny as it is after car wash , the back portion easily get dirty ( guess that's the problem with hatch) and I hv a bottle of QD permanently in the car
and use it almost daily.

So fotobuta, if you as OCD as I am on cleanliness of your car prepare to workout a bit  especially for dark cars. BTW congrats on the car.

Well, after 2-3weeks.... it will collect dust n dirt like my other rides.... sweat.gif

After seeing all the posts from bro,
I decided to give the Sa a call to check the car status.
One thing I may think of for the delay is the sultan birthday on Monday:(

Warranty, I consider that a gray area. Mainly because the RCD 510 is also a VW product.

Wah.... the car is just so eager to go. I am just so tempted to floor it, but like most people adviced, I am keeping it below 4k rpm and below 120kph for now. Plan to send it for servicing and oil change at 5000km.

hi Futobuta,

i saw some advice to keep below 4K rpm and below 120kph, but when will be the right time to floor it? after 5k? after 1st VW service for 15K? i get to knew that the engine is run in, but not the gsd gearbox......i dont wish to miss the break in for the 1.2 tsi engine. please advice..
cheers!!

Yeah i was refering to the 320i...i got the same input too from my friend..he also suggest the Roc....very unique compared to BMW....its just the prestige BMW as long been been established...Malaysian will be Malaysians....either BMW or merc....hahahaha

But my freind said if we dont care about prestige and just go individuality...go for the ROC...

My take is...either BMW or the ROC...is more of personal preference...buy either one...wont regret la... cool2.gif

If you're thinking at all about performance, the 320i sucks big time. It's better as a manual but with an auto, the 320i fails. The VW is far more responsive and satisfying if you can live with a 2-door car. biggrin.gif

futobuta, how does the Carbon Steel Grey color looks like real life?
I hardly spotted it on the road, mostly are Black or White.

i believe every car vendor have their own problem. even toyota and honda as well.
i do hear some of the dsg gear box issue in singapore, as long is under warrenty (5 years) , i still can live with it. smile.gif
end of the day, choose the car you like, dont choose car base on resell value, cheap parts, easy maintenance , etc etc.. is you who drive the car, not the car drive you.
cheers!! thumbup.gif

Thanks for the good luck! Everytime I am always praying that there will be no DSG problems as well. Thank God that we also have the 5-year warranty so that removes some of the worry. All this while I have bad luck with gearboxes hehehe.

Since from my dad's old Wira 1.6, to my old Toyota Vios and my last Honda Civic. All also had problems with gearbox! The only car which I drove which didn't have the gearbox problem was my old Kembara but because that was a MANUAL. LOL, I am a gearbox jinx tongue.gif

I pening, went to Glenmarie FA and asked whether if i installed any Anti-Hijack system such as clifford, kobra etc will it void my warranty.. they say, will void all electrical warranty.. for e.g. if ur wiper suddenly decided not to function .. no more warranty .. *sigh*. saw the ABT package.. wow .. rm37k

To be honest, I did Autofoam for my Civic last time mainly because it really needed it. For the Golf, I can safely say it doesn't need any soundproofing. Go take a ride in the Golf and you will hear the difference.
