how much the cost of the Golf 1.4 tsi after discounts and rebates u guys get it?

and..how long is the current generation lifespan of the car? smile.gif anyone mind to help?
*
The discounts depend on the dealer or sales agent you deal with. Some give free iPads, some give free 2 services and some give 1-2% discount.

Depend on lifespan of the car? You mean actual lifespan before the car just stops working or lifespan before a new model comes out?

Nopes, not trading in the RCD 310. Planning to sell that separately the next time.

UGPM biggrin.gif

Warranty, I consider that a gray area. Mainly because the RCD 510 is also a VW product.

Don't worry, when it arrives, trust me, it is definitely worth the wait. I waited for like 2 months for mine. The wait makes it the more even special tongue.gif

Yeah, one thing my friend today noticed was that I told him that after I did Sierra Glow yesterday, I got caught in the rain. Then he said, "oh then you washed the car after that?". I said no, SG recommended no car wash 24 hours after the procedure. And his response was like, "Wow even after getting caught in the rain, the car was still so shiny with NO watermarks visible".

SG totally rocks!

But my windows are a different story tongue.gif

Honestly, its hard to give a comparison mainly because its two different type of cars. But if you are comparing both, based on price, I would assume you are looking at the 320i?

Here are some differences between the Roc and the BMW.
- Roc is CBU unit, BMW is CKD (go read some of the forumers comments here that the 320i has quite a bad built quality, I have a friend who sent in his BMW 320i three times because the components inside the car was vibrating like mad and making a lot of noise).
- Roc has more power output
- Roc is not as common as the BMW
- BMW still holds the prestige as a premium car, perception wise, it would appeal more to a larger group of people (e.g. parents/family won't say why la you buy a 2 door car)
- Roc's maintenance is cheaper compared to BMW
- Personally I think the Roc is better looking
- Roc has only two doors, very inconvenient
- Can't really fit more than a single golf bag unless you bring down the seats
*
Yeah i was refering to the 320i...i got the same input too from my friend..he also suggest the Roc....very unique compared to BMW....its just the prestige BMW as long been been established...Malaysian will be Malaysians....either BMW or merc....hahahaha

But my freind said if we dont care about prestige and just go individuality...go for the ROC...

My take is...either BMW or the ROC...is more of personal preference...buy either one...wont regret la... cool2.gif

Car still shiny if kena heavy rain, for light and intermittent shower you still get waterspot problem. I hv G'zox Quartz coating on my Golf and it doesnt totally eliminate water spot. As shiny as it is after car wash , the back portion easily get dirty ( guess that's the problem with hatch) and I hv a bottle of QD permanently in the car
and use it almost daily.

So fotobuta, if you as OCD as I am on cleanliness of your car prepare to workout a bit especially for dark cars. BTW congrats on the car.
