Damn, why lah Jetta, How come the Jetta Passat and MPV for what?
*
MPV is the most popular vehicle segment in Malaysia. VW is not stupid.

Polo = City/Vios level although probably closer to Jazz/Yaris
Jetta = Civic/Altis level
Passat = Accord/Camry level

Makes sense for them to go for Jetta and Passat first. The Jetta is not the prettiest or most popular car around but the Polo is a hatchback compared to City/Vios which are sedans so again in the eyes of Malaysian buyers it'll always be lower class and undesirable. Only the Jetta and Passat CKD gives VW a fighting chance of getting some sort of marketshare in Malaysia against Toyota and Honda.

At one point in the US VW used to appeal to the hearts of the buyers by marketing themselves as German quality at Japanese car prices. I wonder if they'll do the same here.

is that the characteristics of the DSG or due to engine response?
*
raist86 I think this is a DSG thing, the clutch doesn't engage as smoothly as a manual and there is a point where it's actually disengaged unlike a regular auto transmission. I have the same problem on the Mini with it's automated manual gearbox. Jerky and a slight but annoying delay when you're transitioning from stop to go.

That's the thing. I don't know which shop is familiar with tinting for the golf. And which film? 3M?

Ask the VW sales people, they usually have several preferred ones and while the cost might not be the lowest, at least those shops would hvae more experience with the Golf.

Yeah i was refering to the 320i...i got the same input too from my friend..he also suggest the Roc....very unique compared to BMW....its just the prestige BMW as long been been established...Malaysian will be Malaysians....either BMW or merc....hahahaha

But my freind said if we dont care about prestige and just go individuality...go for the ROC...

My take is...either BMW or the ROC...is more of personal preference...buy either one...wont regret la... cool2.gif

If you're thinking at all about performance, the 320i sucks big time. It's better as a manual but with an auto, the 320i fails. The VW is far more responsive and satisfying if you can live with a 2-door car. biggrin.gif
