Standard for Golf Gti. Golf Tsi's brake lights are roundish.

Hmmm... The Golf Gti's that I've been seeing on the road all seem to be having the same tail lights as the Golf R while the Golf Tsi's with those roundish tail lights. Maybe those tail lights are stock for the Malaysian market?

I've decided to wait for the Polo GTi instead of going for the normal polo..no idea how much or when, but I will wait patiently rather than regret later coz even if i get the polo, i would want a 2011 car (supposedly only available in March)....haha I'm hoping that its priced between the polo and golf but who knows...

@rebecks: thanks for the info; that makes sense since the car i snapped are SG-reg.

@treason: i hear the polo gti will be rm13xk.

@hacksrider: i personally would go for the tsi. 5 year warranty for peace of mind. plus, the gaps in real world performance is not that big. the mk5 is starting to look really dated too, as there are many mk6s otr.

guys, i just got myself a polo, was delivered to me last thursday from Cergaz Autohaus.

so far, im quite impressed with the engine, eventhought its 1.2, i can still smoke the much more powerful car than mine due to its pickup (tested @ Sg. Besi highway).

just wondering if anyone is going to establish a VW Polo club for Malaysia ?

anyway, regarding Sierra Glow, will it damage the paint for my Polo? I have no experience regarding this. hope someone can explain a bit to me...

on an unrelated note; i have a question. are these standard mk6 gti brake lights, or have they been modded?

In an unrelated note, fakkov! Hahaha. Be patient la, sent the car in just now only. Once I collect it later, I will snap the pics then post it up here. Nowadays all also no patience one hahahaha tongue.gif

But in your unrelated note, yes, those are the R LED tail lamps. Can be fit into the Mk6 GTI as well as the Mk6 TSI. I got a supplier if you are interested in modding yours if you want whistling.gif whistling.gif whistling.gif

Personally I have gone and tested out numerous 2nd hand Mk5 about and most of them at that time were either the 2005 models or 2007 models (WALD editions and none WALD edition). After a lot of consideration, I decided to go for the TSI mainly because

1) peace of mind, because it is a new car I know there is no previous owner who might have brought their car to the track and whacked up the insides of the car
2) The 5-year warranty program by VW
3) I prefer the looks of the Mk6 more than the Mk5 although a lot of people who own the Mk5 says that the Mk5 is the prettier one tongue.gif

No, Malaysian stock lights are all round red lights as shown in the images above. There are plenty of the Golf R LED lights available here so a lot of people have changed their rear lights for that. Problem is that you will void your warranty because of the change whistling.gif

Shouldn't create so many clubs about hehehe. Not too sure how many Polo or Polo owners out there as well. Maybe more after the new launch.

In regards to Sierra Glow, it basically is putting on a 5-micron sealant on your paint maintaining the shine of your paint for 5 years. Very good reviews about it from the Peugeot 308 club as well as the Forte club. Review coming soon once I get my car!

well i'v did the sierra glow thingy 1mth after taking my TSI. So far so good but it doesn't prevent the build up of watermarks.. Not sure whether SG suppose to prevent those or not ..coz i can c the watermarks esp on my bonnet. I remembered PPS will elimiate most of the watermarks each time u go for the rejuvenation session.

Actually watermarks will always be there whether you put SG or PPS. Both SG and PPS creates a thin protective layer on your original paint to preserve the shine. Watermarks will be on top of that layer so it will always be there. Difference I noticed between SG and PPS is that PPS requires you to go back for a rejuvenation session, each session costs around RM100+ or less but the average pricing is around there. SG says that you can use normal car shampoo to get back to the shine wink.gif
