QUOTE(vinesh22 @ Oct 18 2010, 03:17 PM) It's vanilla so I mixed it with coffee, Pepsi, Root Beer (I'm not kidding If it's for post-workout, I mix with water. If it's for bed, I mix with milk. If it's to bump up my protein intake, some milk and some water. |

I take my morning shake with cold milk, tastes bloody awesome thanks to the Chocolate Milkshake flavour. But I only use one and a quarter scoops so that I wont have to keep running to the toilet! Haha
Post workout I take 2 scoops with cold water, adjust the thickness myself to make it taste good Added on October 18, 2010, 4:32 pm QUOTE(ariff02 @ Oct 18 2010, 03:52 PM) Me, me! HahaGood warmup cum cardio workout, I usually do it 2 times a week, four 5 minute sets with 3 minute breaks in between. This post has been edited by vinesh22: Oct 18 2010, 04:32 PM |

QUOTE(NOX @ Oct 18 2010, 07:36 PM) Let's not get started with bodytypes and saying that's the reason you can't lose weight. The singular most important aspect of physique transaformation for me is doing weights. Which is more important to you, losing weight for looking fit? A lot of guys want to look fit too! Your probably don't have that high a muscle mass, which means you don't burn half as much as compared to a bodybuilder at your weightclass. We talk about burn, but what does the burning? Muscle. I have such a case in my office. The guy runs every day and good news is, he's not getting anyfatter. Bad news, he's not getting any thinner as well. How long have you started running and cycling? You can do all the HIIT you want but in the end of the day you're not getting the results, time to try something else. Try hitting the weights. Get started on basic weight training, and the put in a day or two or cardio. You can retain that diet of yours, you don't have to change it. Try it for 3 months, and then you tell me you cannot see an improvement. |

If someone can do HIIT 5x a week then the HIIT is not intensive enough
I usually rest for at least 2 days between HIIT sessions. |

QUOTE(Syd G @ Oct 18 2010, 08:56 PM) If someone can do HIIT 5x a week then the HIIT is not intensive enough I would agree, spotted that during his earlier post :I usually rest for at least 2 days between HIIT sessions. QUOTE(NOX @ Oct 15 2010, 06:40 PM) my HIIT* = i jog til i run out of breath@max heart beat then i walk til my heart beat drop slow.. 1 round i can get 4-6 repetition.. all 4 near 1 hour.. HIIT totally destroys me in 15 minutes. So his version of HIIT is nowhere near what we call HIIT, it's HIIT without the HI. It's just interval training. However, he mentioned he just started a couple of weeks ago. HIIT isn't something I'd recommend for new recruits, the high intensity part is a major wrecker if your body isn't yet conditioned and I doubt most new recruits have the willpower to drag themselves through HIIT week in week out by themselves. I think he would be better served by spending the first 3 months getting his strength levels and muscles up, and once we have some muscles on that frame, we can cardio more effectively to chip off the fat. Views appreciated. |

I used to do HIIT 2 times a week max. And trust me, if u can still walk around like nobody's business after 15-20mins after a session, then it definitely isn't high intensity enough. Try something else, do more weights, trial and error method is sometimes required for different people because not everyone has the same metabolism etc..
Your weight going up doesnt necessarily mean you're not loosing fat, but the fact that you're not doing weights and the weight is pounding on is a bit odd. |

You might be thinking muscle gain, and I think that's the case. He doesn't do weights, but his cardio is all lower body intensive. So despite the fact that he doesn't do weights, his cardio is making his lower body to do all the resistance work and that might prompt muscle gain. I've friends who have never done a single squat (Weight training terms) in their life, but their legs are all lean and muscular because they get their weekly fix of football. |

Yeah, I get where you're coming from and I agree mate, same goes to some of my friends who play badminton and hockey. Although the latter does involve a ton of bodyweight squatting, haha |

Matter of fact, our weight reading show on the weighing scale is not 100% representative 100% on our shape and health level.Body builders are heavy, but most of their weight comes from muscle, not fat! Someone who is light may be full of body fat with little muscle. There are far more important numbers we should be focus on: - muscle mass, water %, metabolism rate/age, bone mass, body fat %..etc. If you really want to know your body well, go to get a scan. These numbers can be easily obtain with an advance body scan machine. These machines often are available in gym center as well. |
