i think u have the wrong impression on weight lifting.>.< lifting weight doesnt get you like arnold or ronnie cole,
even for girls, try google search jamie eason, she lift weights too.=D

those guys like ronnie cole are on steroids, that is whye they grow soo hugeeee.

i agree with you, from my experience, it very HARD to grow muscles tbh, even for guys, it long long time and dedication,
what about girls? i doubt they will get a huge muscles by just lifting.

for a girl, u will just tone up a little, and get a firmer hands,etc, and not sagging tricpes when old. whistling.gif

i do know that its not easy for females to grow muscles.
i'm not into weightlifting now coz of medical problems =\

Im 167cm and 54kg. Went to a gym today and they told me im underweight n need to gain muscle. But i just wanna be 50 kg sad.gif should i gain muscle? Will i look bulky? Im a girl btw

definitely wont, do u know your body fat % now?
i rarely see any girl who heads to the gym is lean and bulky, can say almost none, mostly are just fat , sorry just to be direct here.

so i guess u shud be gaining some muscle while sheding some body fat, the figure on the scale is not important, only thing is the body fat % is important IMO
u can be 50kg @ 30-40% bf or 48kg @ 20-25% , it will make a very big differences in ur physical appearance.

LeanSupp! I need your advice here on gaining muscles! What kind of eating habit should I follow? Decided not to lose weight anymore. Concentrating on getting buff instead now. smile.gif

Should I get the whey protein and drink twice daily?

btw regarding your whey protein and drink twice daily,
it depends on the use and the timing when when to drink it.
for example, if u are planning to drink in between breakfast and lunch, use a protein blend instead of whey, it will be better,
and whey for post workout.=)

Altho I'm 50kg at 164cm and my bf's 54kg at 165cm, he still looks much more slimmer than me!!!

Aaaghh... I really, really need to lose weight. I just went on a 22 hour fast yesterday and lost 1kg there. But I think I gained it all back today cuz I baked lotsa chocolate chip cookies today =( And who can resists home made chocolate chip cookies?? Gah!

My target weight (for now) is 48kg. 2kg!! Not much but it seems so difficult cry.gif

I need to go for a jog later sad.gif

Any suggestions on how to burn fat constantly and keep it off?

Instead of focusing on weight maybe go and check ur body fat percentage, cause ur weight and BMI look okbut maybe ur fat percentage is high. If thats the case i would focus on toning muscle and reducing fatinstead of just losing weight. And fasting is not a good way to loose weight, u saw it urself, next day u bing to make up for calories yesterday.

will all this exercise help?

I would suggest you to do some weights and tone up your body instead. You wouldn't wanna look like some unhealthy stick skinny girl.

Let me do a good deed today.

Reason most people are gaining fat is because they eat more calories than their body can burn. 1 lbs of fat = to about 3500 calories. Therefore it is hard to burn fat but also hard to put on.
There is however a good way to burn fat and that is to eat less and do more cardio.

To calculate how much calories you should be taking a day, take your body weight in lbs e.g. 120 and multiply it with the number of hours you workout per week + 9.5. So that should be about 120 x (9.5 + 3) if you work out 3 hours per week. 1500 calories. So if you maintain at 1500 calories per day, you basically will stay at that weight of 120 lbs.

A person normally burns of 10 calories per pound. So if i weight at 130 pounds, my body basically burns off about 1300 pounds. So if i want to get down to about 120 pounds, and i workout for 3 hours per week, my body burns 1500 calories and I'm only eating 1200 calories so i got a calorie deficit of 300 calories. 300 x 7 = 2100 calories. So basically I'm going to burn 1 pound of fat every 2 weeks and it gets harder as my body fat percentage goes down because I weight less.

Hope you get the idea...

P.s. TO GIRLS ---> Don't be afraid of working out because the posibillity of you packing muscles are very very low because girls lack testosterone if I'm not mistaken but still girls very hard to build muscle. So workout more and do more cardio to lose fat.

Get lean by dieting hard and exercising hard. biggrin.gif

because naturally man are lower in body fat than female.
no use fasting girl, just use the traditional 500 cal below maintenance an u are fine,
weight doesn matter much what matter much is your body fat %

btw what is ur diet/ do u have exercise plan?

and, try incorporating a cup of green tea during ur lunch and dinner.works wonder
