QUOTE(Hawaiiii @ Apr 3 2011, 12:28 PM) Yes im using 1.8 to 2.5" micro sata adapter, hopefully is the adapter problem but sadly though i can get a better adapter at lowyat but cant find I strongly believe it's the adapter issues like what I encountered just recently.it will work like 2-3 times then kaput. I got one adapter which is very durable and working until now, slightly different from the problematic ones. Too bad don't have any extra for sale. But i can source for it thru my supplier. |

I've currently bulk purchased a branded converter just to make sure there's no complains for my future customers... Should have extra units... if you are interested.. you can let me know.. |

many years ago when 7200rpm hdd launch, the price quite high. nowadays, 15k rpm hdd still expensive. well, i wait untill all rich persons around the world pays RnD costs of ssd, then their price soon will drop, the same thing happen to several intel socket 1366 processors, 1156 socket which is 870 and so on

Hmm, I've ordered this adapter:
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...e=STRK:MEWNX:IT Has anyone else tried this one before? I can't use the non-caddy adapter types because Dell's HDD slot will only ngam ngam fit a 2.5 inch drive. |

Compare that with the 300GB SSDs, which have twenty chips and thus 320GB, meaning 20GB is inaccessible. It seems to me that the 160GB, and the 80GB by the same logic, doesn't have any over-provisioning. But I haven't been able to find literature to confirm it. Added on April 4, 2011, 6:56 pmSilly me. The NAND chips were 16GiB and not 16GB. Problem explained. This post has been edited by everling: Apr 4 2011, 06:56 PM |
