planning to get 1 mpb 13" as i am going to start my online business soon, having a laptop rather than an iphone is much more easier i guess...

macbook and iPhone is two different thing. I have MobileMe which sync all the emails, contacts, appointments/meetings over the air between my macbook unibody, MBA and iP5. Sometimes with iPhone you could just email or send documents on the go.

so most likely get 1 after it release

hmm why dont you use normal laptop to do online bussiness, just asking because you could invest the rest of $$ to improve the bussiness i guess.

u can find my trader at the ''Memory & Drives'' section, just search for his lowyat nickname, ''ronaldjoe"".
he didnt keep ready stock of the 240GB SSD, only 120GB he has ready stock. so he ordered it for me. i'll update in this thread when i receive the SSD so we can share the performance boost review  nod.gif
nabielz, the OCZ Vertex 2 240GB SSD i ordered is rm1380, do you think the price i paid is reasonable?
oh sumthing i was thinking about yesterday... if i'm not mistaken, in one of the videos about the Macbook Air posted on Apple website, they were talking about how flash based storage could be present in all future mac computers.

do you all think it's possible next generation MBP's will come standard with SSD storage? or even hybrid storage? (hybrid=conventional harddisk + SSD)  hmm.gif
*
okie thanks bro! looking forward to your SSD review!! =D

I bought from ebay. What the guy did was he got the family package and sold the account separately. It's much cheaper that way but you get less online storage (5GB), which is fine with me coz all the functions still the same.

great, love it smile.gif

And apparently you can bump the battery to 7 hours with the program Coolbook by underclocking the voltage with no change in performance.

hello guys,

i just upgraded the hdd in my mbp, from 250gb to 500gb. the way i did it, I cloned the data from my hdd into the new hdd via Carbon Copy Cloner before transplanting the new hdd into my MBP. everything is fine, until something like this showed up:

any of the gurus here know how to remove those redundancies?

I think rebuilding LaunchServices cache should do the trick but offhand I don't remember how to. Just google it I spose.

Added on February 14, 2011, 11:40 pmBy the way typing this on my new CTO MacBook Pro 15" 2.8Ghz with HR screen. Everything is so small.

For those who might be interested, I installed 2 x 4GB Corsair 1333Mhz DDR3 in it. Only RM125 each. Could have bought 1066Mhz but was curious to see if 1333 will work OK. So far so good. My previous MBP 2.66Ghz had 2 x 4GB Kingston 1066 ValueRAM in it which worked OK for the 7 months I had it.
