was thinking of getting a Macbook Air to replace my MacBook unibody. Major aspect is because of the weight and I dun use the optical drive much. but since getting the iPad I'm having 2nd thoughts. might not be prefect but get most of the job done anyway.

QUOTE(lexcorp @ Aug 22 2010, 07:26 PM) why not just get a Macbook pro 13''. even better and its more value for the money. actually MacBook unibody is very similar to MacBook pro.

QUOTE(Ojimaru @ Aug 23 2010, 08:58 AM) Unless you can find some way to hack the OS or lid sensors, the default state of the Macbook is Sleep while the lid is closed. If you don't want to have to see 2 screens, just turn the screen brightness down on the Macbook. I have a program that keep the Mac osx awake even when the lid is closed. can't remember the program name. will edit this post once I get home and check the program name on my MacBook. --------------- it's call InsomniaXThis post has been edited by Mackiddo: Aug 23 2010, 06:38 PM

QUOTE(Moutzu @ Sep 5 2010, 12:22 AM) I dunno whether this had been asked b4 or not. I am new to Mac. Previously when I was using a Dell lappy, I will connect it direct to an AC outlet, thus bypassing using the battery. Can I do this with my MBP by connecting the Magsafe Power Adaptor to an AC power outlet? Will this be bypassing the battery in the MBP? is there any alternative choice since you can't remove your mbp battery? dunno if I'm consider lucky or not. I always plug in when I use my MacBook unibody ( removable battery) . the battery spoit within 20months. luckily they replace it for me FOC under APP.

I just bought the USB Ethernet Adapter for my new MBA 13" from Apple Premium Reseller. I was wondering is there a cheaper 'third party' adapter that will work with Mac, since it will involve installing of Mac OSX driver for the hardware?

QUOTE(il0ve51 @ Feb 13 2011, 11:34 PM) planning to get 1 mpb 13" as i am going to start my online business soon, having a laptop rather than an iphone is much more easier i guess... macbook and iPhone is two different thing. I have MobileMe which sync all the emails, contacts, appointments/meetings over the air between my macbook unibody, MBA and iP5. Sometimes with iPhone you could just email or send documents on the go.

QUOTE(borneosailor @ Feb 14 2011, 05:37 AM) I bought from ebay. What the guy did was he got the family package and sold the account separately. It's much cheaper that way but you get less online storage (5GB), which is fine with me coz all the functions still the same.
