yeah.. have to agree with you Narf.. I can reach them.. but the effect is small and I didnt manage to kill a significant number of them.. I guess the Infestor solution is best.. two fungal growth can wipe them out.. then again.. i'm pretty bad with infestor.. and the only time I tried using them is the Zerg Challenge Mission tongue.gif

I really need to learn to use them

well its time u learn...
back in beta, i avoided HTs due to micro issues but i've learnt the hard way that u need to use all ur units to be actually good and versatile...
now i'm really loving casting aoe spells...

150 marines is a gigantic ball, and 2 fungal growth can only kill a very small portion of them, maybe 10-15 ?

with proper placement, u can trap em...
especially in chokes etc...
with proper creep spread, u can kite em forever wit fungal growth alone lol...

do you know how many are 150 marines ? they can surround your entire base, and how much mana/infestors you have in order to non-stop casting ?

150marines = a ball...
ball cant move through choke points all at the same time rite?
use the map to ur advantage...
fungal the marines in front which will in turn block the back marines...
going pure of the same unit ball is bad because of this...

just like how u do defensive storms, do the same wit fungal...
and fungal is not expensive to cast sleep.gif"
by the time he have so much marines (150 means he is 2base at most), u should have prepared...
unless u are playing blind without any scouting information, u deserve to lose...

well u did scouted he go mass marine lol...
u can jz expand into 2-3 base wit ease...

its not hard to build 150 marines, marines are basic unit, so with add-on u can build 2 of them from 1 barrack, and if you have like 5 barracks, u can build 10 at the same time, and 150 is easy, you just need alot of money, 7500mineral, that is almost all mineral from 1 mineral location.

So sad just now, played on scrapped station just now, tried to zergling him, then he went helion, then I went muta, realised he is building tons of vikings, got all my OL killed, cant even build, by the time I got enough hydras he already have battlecruiser...

All he do is turtle inside while everything I did was denied T_T, forgot to scout when I was harassed

Just start trying zerg.. I use the infestor and control the scv but it build buildings halfway change back to enemy unit waste my money only.. shouldnt have time for infestor control wat

u didnt include the amount of supply needed...
u can hardly support 5rax_reactor off 1 base with constant production...
not to mention the need for tech lab to get stim and shield...

sounds interesting Sky.. if you can upload the replay for me.. want to see how that happen too

I find it difficult to fight opponent that is aggressive and harass.. maybe because as Zerg its usually me doing the harassment.. and the other guy just turtle up.. I really got to learn and respond better I guess smile.gif

@evofantasy -> ok.. watched the replay.. he did got some mineral out of his natural expansion.. before I shut that down.. so he is considered two based I guess..

ya 1 base's mineral will not be enough for 150 marines, but u just need some extra, 7500 for marines, 1000 for supply(assume use the orbital add-on for supply depot), 1000 for barracks, another 1000 for scv+refinery+upgrades, 1 base contains 9000 mineral, so if he said its all from 1 base, then it might not be 150 marines, maybe 120-130.


Added on September 9, 2010, 11:29 amlose a game to a protoss, he go combination unit of zealots, stalkers, and colossus, even i defended with 2 spine crawlers, roaches, hydras, and the fight took place in my base's entrance(not many stalkers can stand there), i still lose the fight, he uses aura(+2 armor) and colossus dont have the+3 range. the amount of my units is almost same as his, but i lose !! What i did wrong ?

Another badly played game by me, I basically have so many chance to end the game but I just did not ... Should have split my force to harass both his base..

I won this ZvZ but it's because the opponent never attempt to expand, I still lost my main base to his mass roach..



Sometimes I hate watching high level replay, everything they did seems perfectly correct while everything I did seems perfectly wrong.. T_T
