I found that forcing my phone down to EDGE saves a lot of battery life.

You can look for the "2G-3G OnOff" widget in the Market for a quick shortcut to the Mobile Network settings.

Got root last night. Running Leedroid 1.7b. Froyo 2.2 is Definitely faster and smoother. Simultaneous multiple downloads and installation used to slow the phone down like crazy but now it's smooth.

Titanium backup managed to restore everything but very tedious if you have many apps installed. You have to click on "install" to restore every single app. So if you have 50 apps, prepare to stand by your phone and click on "install" and "done" 50x

The restored Swype was broken so I had to reinstall, worked fine after that.

Want to use Paul's ROM as it is highly rated but people are talking about waiting for "MCR" or "R7" whatever that means...

Not impressed with A2SD though. Free space = 92mb now after moving all apps that can be moved to SD to my 16gb. Not sure why the free space is so low.

I've done the ext3 partition for A2SD+ but I'm not sure if it is working as it should. How do I check on this?

but i want the pattern lock when i unlock the widgetlocker...

When you use Launch-X PRo, you got this part "Appearance option" > screen selection method "ARROWS" or "DIRECT BUTTONS"... Your 6 app icons below dont have any. How did you do it?

oh.. that

make sure you set your screen mode to single screen (max 7 icons) then after you can see the option under the screen selection method that you can disable the "show background"

r7 = version currently is r6
kitchen = is their online kitchen whereby you can customize and bake the ROM.
MCR = modaco custom ROM ? This 1 I not sure.

MCR, R6, R7 and .......is all the version of different rom they create......
previous leak Froyo was build up to version r6, so for the official froyo the mod will be named as r7......
kitchen is a place where you can bake your own rom, which mean you can decide what application you want in the rom and what you dont want.....
you can throw application like stock, pluck, calculator and so on that come with the stock rom which you dont use...
you can also add application that you like inside the rom so that they will automatic install once you flash the rom..

i got too many Beautiful Widgets FC on Modaco ROM, and sometimes when unlock the screen, all the widgets are restarting/refreshing. Sigh any clue why? I've done wipe too.

Yes. Ad free will be sufficient. Other application, I don't use at all.
