I don't think anyone know when we getting it. Some say Christmas, some say soon cause Desire Europe getting it this weekend.

Noticed LeeDroid released 1.6a, if I update from 1.6 to 1.6a, do I need to backup data? Flashing rom will cause loss of data or not?

I've been wondering when the Official Froyo Rom is released in SEA, do we need to unroot our Desire (Maxis set) to the original state before flashing the Froyo? How are we going to unroot? Factory settings, would it work?

Guys, thanks for answering my questions.
I'm on LeeDroid 1.6 and am very happy with it since A2SD+ works well and Swype is good too and have access to paid Market. Nothing else I need. I will wait for the official Froyo for Desire for Asia. Just wondering why ppl keep flashing their Desire with newer and different developers Froyo? Not same? Better performance? |

A question not related to rooting or flashing for once since the past 20 post... hehehehe...
Anyone here using LauncherPro Plus? If I backup homescreens and settings, I get a prompt saying "Due to limitation in the Android system, homescreen widgets cannot be backed up. When restored, widgets will need to be manually re-added to your homescreens. Would you like to continue? = YES / NO?" Really is this a limitation for anyone who had use this? Cause I dont wanna setup a nice homescreen just to redo it later. Then why they put in the backup feature? Additionally, if I wanna revert back to Sense UI. How? |

This thread has been flying since the official Froyo 2.2 released in EU and now there's more modded ROM options. One night, it's updated for 5 pages and more. I can see why Android is gaining so much market share. Let it beat iPhone!
I am tempted to flash the Paul's Froyo ROM but I could not find it in the xda forum. Maybe I'm blind. Very tempting to try since you guys said it has better battery life but I dont want to setup my homescreen, configure swype, restore my user data (notepad files, calendar items, installed programs, etc). Can Titanium backup deal with all this for me? |

My God, this is going too fast for me to follow. I am still on LeeDroid 1.6. Has anyone tried out 1.8? I skipped 1.7 worrying that constant flashing might hurt the device.

So all the talk about rooting and flashing, what mod Froyo are you guys using right now? I'm on LeeDroid 1.6. Feel its draining my battery too fast. Wanna upgrade or try another mod. SUGGESTIONS please.
