if u havent rooted, then u need a gold card to root it [maxis set only, coz maxis set is locked phone] if u root it using old method. however if u root it using unrevoked, u dont need a gold card.
maybe u need to do nandroid backup again, coz if it's successfull u can find the folder.
*
still cannot find the nandroid file after 2nd time nandroid..

it have this after finish:

no /sdcard/.android_secure found
skipping backup of app on external storage
no sd-ext found. skipping backup of sd-ext
Generating md5sum
backup complete

in froyo now i can play asphalt without lagging and it's even fast&smooth now. let's hope all the apps can support native a2sd, coz it's still few of them that can support it. but still, a2sd+ will always be better than native a2sd since a2sd+ can save more internal memory.
*
One question about the native App2SD though. When you install application, will it prompt you to install to SD (like what WinMo does) or it automatically goes into the SD card? Nice to know at least its faster and smoother smile.gif

mostly all the apps will be installed into ur phone automatically and u have to move the apps to sd manually. however, some apps that have supported native a2sd might install into sd card, such as Skies of Glory.

there seems to be confusion regarding chinese words in HTC desire EU froyo.

Keyboard - Chinese input - Yes
Web - Chinese words - Yes (no boxes)
Menu icons name - Chinese words - No

When I asked when is the OTA released for SEA users, I got this response from SiS

Dear Sir,

Thanks for your support to SiS Malaysia.
For the HTC Desire rom upgrade, HTC will advice the update on the www.htc.com support section, and the update may send over the air to your device via mobile internet/wifi.

maybe ur card is corrupted or did u plug in ur phone while trying to do nandroid? actually, u can skip the nandroid backup if u think u dont want to return to ur phone's current state in the future.

I had the same problem when i tried to format my card using OpenDesire. My suggestion, take out your MicroSD, format using a PC and redo the nandroid backup wink.gif

Just to share my experience on formating USB / SD Card using your PC. Please use the Panasonic SD Formatter to format your USB Drive or SD Card. If you use your PC to format your SD Card will not run at its optimum speed.

as i said, all the apps will install into internal memory automatically and u have to move it manually from Settings if u want the apps to be installed in sd [no options during installation].

I see. So, everytime i need to use that Move To SD option then. Kinda troublesome. Was hoping they have an option to select where to install. Thanks.

and i still dilemma on whether to flash OpenDesire or the Original rooted froyo....

Need to clear something in my mind for flashing steps;

1)Root my device(DONE!)
2)Backup Nandroid
3)Run Titanium Backup
4)Flash my chosen custom ROM
5)Restore files using Titanium Backup again.

a) thats it right? btw whats with the Radio? do i need it? i see some got with radio and some dont. what is it for and why?

b) and about Titanium backup, i just backup all the stuffs, and restore them all just like kan?

c) and all my settings/preferences/options for my apps will not be lose right(for example fonts, colours, etc)?

d) and one more thing, all of my purchased apps from Paid market still be useable kan? or need to download again?

Can't recall the speed difference, last try was using Kingston USB drive, and big difference in write speed. If you did not format it using PC then no issue.

Still using class 2, but looking for 16GB class 6. Maybe will get it during PC Fair.
