Yup, I did not root my  but you need to create goldcard to get firmware 1.21 (for euro) installed 1st and then upgrade to 2.2 via OTA. Follow my link, since it has an apps to ease on goldcard creation process.

i did my nandroid backup.. but i cant see it in my sd card..is it in any special folder that i miss look?

I hope with Froyo, it now speeds up the changes to application to support App2SD. Thats the only reason for me though In terms of performance & battery life, is there any significant difference?

still cannot find the nandroid file after 2nd time nandroid..

it have this after finish:

no /sdcard/.android_secure found

One question about the native App2SD though. When you install application, will it prompt you to install to SD (like what WinMo does) or it automatically goes into the SD card? Nice to know at least its faster and smoother

i rooted last week acct.. and i did boot/restart my phone several time ady..
is it possible if i dont want to do the nandroid backup.. juz flash the rom directly..

How do i know where are they installed? Do we have option to select where do we want to install them?

Need to clear something in my mind for flashing steps;

1)Root my device(DONE!)
2)Backup Nandroid
3)Run Titanium Backup
4)Flash my chosen custom ROM
5)Restore files using Titanium Backup again.

a) thats it right? btw whats with the Radio? do i need it? i see some got with radio and some dont. what is it for and why?

b) and about Titanium backup, i just backup all the stuffs, and restore them all just like kan?

c) and all my settings/preferences/options for my apps will not be lose right(for example fonts, colours, etc)?

d) and one more thing, all of my purchased apps from Paid market still be useable kan? or need to download again?

But can you format it directly? Cause last i tried, its not working with the OpenDesire. When i format the SD card, it hangs.

Thats the problem. When it hangs, i need to force quit. And when i force quit and restart, it cant recognize the SD anymore, probably because its corrupted.
