~Nokia X6: 1st Nokia S60v5 Capacitive Touchscreen~

user posted image

Introduction
In the world of Nokia it's all about evolution, rather than revolution. So don't expect the specs on the X6 to blow your mind. The handset is the next step for the market leader scrambling to make up for a late start in touch- screens. To be honest, the Symbian S60 touch edition has been struggling to catch up with the standard setters in terms of user experience. And the X6 claims to have the answer: the responsiveness only a capacitive screen can bring.

The Nokia X6 is also the first XpressMusic handset to head straight for the high-end. Midrange is the highest the music Finns have gone so we are interested to see how this change of approach works. Nokia have always had a strong appeal to the masses, but pleasing the selected few is undoubtedly harder.

go buy from outlet, sure will be more expensive, bcos they need to cover their rental and utility fee. can try to grab at LYN here. there are some sellers, their price quite reasonable, like epj clareen , x123775.... smile.gif

AFAIK Pimp Juice Plus (PJP) is not an overclocking sw...It just shift some of the big files from the C: drive to the mass memory, alongside with other improvement such as better kinetic scrolling etc. Which helps a lot in overall speed of the phone.
A great app and believe me, its is the only reason why I use N97 before this, as this greatly improves its performance. Highly recommended app.
But still haven't install it yet on my X6 lol laugh.gif

You need something to be inserted to the 3.5mm jack for FM receiving and you need something longer not something short. Something short like a splitter will not give you enough reception smile.gif
So...you must insert something whenever you wanna listen to FM cause it's a hardware and not software limitation smile.gif

Hope so but Sony Xperia X10 got the Hardware limitation reason for not getting multitouch even though it's getting Android 2.1...

Btw, how do you make the tradelist link such that it shows your post? smile.gif

u need X-plore to delete several folders (listed in the instructions) which are hidden,
normal file manager won't be able to see those hidden folders.

Thanks for answer me. laugh.gif
btw, "InviShield" protector is nice because can fully protect your casing.but there are also cons there, 1st expensive, 2nd the surface will look ugly due to it is a kind of cellophane tape.(but is high quality de la. laugh.gif laugh.gif ).

Let me get this straight. AMA is better than PJP? Is it something like PJP but has more features? Since they can't work together, having AMA is enough?

PJP has been reported some bug issues....AMA which is more "lite version" but have those basic tweaks which PJP has....PJP require more complex set-up but AMA doesn't

for me, i'm using it not to showoff, but rather for its ease of locking and unlocking than the standard side keylock

i've used MyKeyLock, nUnlock, and Slideunlock (yesterday for 1 day), i would rate the 3 of them with the ranking of

Ranking (my personal opinion based on the features the program offers, not trying to initiate war of words here)
1) MyKeylock
~ pros:
lot of features for unlocking and locking including gesture,
moving phone in directions to lock or unlock,
blocking sensor proximity to trigger lock customizing the screen slide unlock position whether to slide straight or slide whichever direction needed.
~ cons:
sometimes prog turn off by itself if too many wrong touches on the touchscreen are made when the lockscreen is activated

2) SlideUnlock
~ pros:
default lockscreen offer few shorcut to open apps,
ability to unlock and lock like mykeylock,
touch screen initiate lockscreen straight

~ cons:
no features mentioned above which is available in mykeylock,
blocking proxity sensor feature available but not able to make it separate for either to lock only or unlock only, it is combined
(can't detect any more cons since used for few hours only)

3) nUnlock
~ pros:
lockscreen closes to look like iPhone lockscreen (if yr objective is only to look like an iPhone in terms of lockscreen, this is the best of the 3)
iPhone-like wallpaper comes with the program

~ cons:
as far as i remember, it doesn't have the ability to lock (other than our own side key lock)
not much feature for unlocking either

Means slideunlock is better la...used for many month for myself....left it due to memory issue like the rest of other program hogging memory resource

In conclusion...if you are not bothered by the PJP Bugs you just stay put...otherwise use AMA...
On the other hand, beginners with difficulties understanding the installation process may choose AMA sweat.gif

Need some help. Where do I copy the three files of nUnlock into my X6 to begin installation. The link I had says it is V3 for 5800. Does it work with the X6? Thanks. Testing it as my friend's 5800 side slider is not working properly..too much usage.

So far I tried the wifi, quite ok nod.gif sound wise, quite crisp. It's a bit weird not to have buttons for typing, need a bit time to adjust to touch screen. Right now, I'm charging it for first time - 8hrs. After that, I'm going to explore it again, hehe..

Btw, I tried to install MSN Live Messenger in it.
http://windows-live-messenger.en.softonic.com/symbian
But, after it auto-install in my phone, it automatically cancels itself when finish installing. rclxub.gif
Tried couple of times already, trying to figure out what's wrong.

Anyone can help here? icon_question.gif

@ping0613: Yeap. I actually went to a few shops at Sungai Wang and they all gave around (RM1100~1180) that price too. I wanted to buy the Nokia 5800 for my Mum but realized it was resistive touchscreen but she prefers capacitive (easier and more precise to control). However, I realized it doesn't have "Multi-Touch" which is quite a let down compared to the iPhone/iPod Touch.

Erm, what is normal pc suite? means you don't use the one provided in the Nokia DVD?
For mass storage, can it backup everything (sms, contacts etc)? Or just files like music and photos only?

Just finished charging the 8hrs, now trying the X6. Hm, there's a slight problem here. Although I can connect to wi-fi, but I can't seem to login to anything (facebook n emails). Username and password is definitely correct though. Normal browsing is ok too hmm.gif Trying to explore see what's the problem.

@ping0613: Yeap, I have to agree with you on that matter regarding the expensive price of the iPhone.
I'm actually a Mac-hardware user/supporter so I'm using the iPhone 2G. Now I'm waiting for the iPhone 4.
Sorry ya, I'm more of an Apple-fan but I must say that Nokia has done a good job since the last Nokia-Symbian phone that I used (Nokia N70 doh.gif

-normal pc suit = Nokia PC Suit =/= Ovi Suit
-i din use the DVD in the box. i direct download from Nokia Website for latest version.
-put as mass storage just like plug in a pendrive on PC. can copy sms, but need to find from system, which i still dunno which file for S60 5th ; can copy contact, but u need to copy ur contact to mass memory 1st.

nice to hear that, then is there any settings i need to change upon the first time insertion of the broadband sim card?
or i can straight away connect to the net already?

if sms, wouldn't it incur extra charges?

Tried both. Still not working sad.gif

Btw, I dl-ed Opera Mini and now I can login the webpages just fine rclxms.gif

But, after I off my hp n turn it on again, it got stuck at the white Nokia screen @ White Screen of Death cry.gif I read back the previous thread and found that there are others with this problem as well. I tried to take out the battery and put it back again, but still the same.

I have an mind boggling predicament here.
I have 2 X6, a 16GB Zitron set and a 32GB Avax set.
16GB is faster, smoother and the OVI GPS is different, faster, more details and also the GPS signal is better on the 16GB.
Both also have been upgraded to latest OVI Maps and firmware. Can someone shed some lights into this?

@piumiu: Regarding the X6 16GB being faster in terms of performance when compared with the X6 32GB might be true because it has a smaller capacity hence faster loading times/indexing times = Faster performance/more responsive.
However, I doubt it has any difference when it comes to the 16GB and 32GB's GPS-capabilities cause both of them are using the same GPS-chipset. Please make sure that both phones are set to the same "navigation/GPS" settings such as A-GPS/Integrated GPS, etc, etc.

Possible but possibly not...
I would actually call X6 8GB as normal speed & X6 16GB as slow speed & X6 32GB as slowest speed...

The reason why X6 32GB is slowest is because of its larger memory which puts more workload on the phone processor to read the relatively larger Mass Memory.
Well, slow but you get a larger amount of memory biggrin.gif

if just compare 1st time load, then larger memory used sure will be slower.
but it been loaded second time and above, should be same speed(based on my oppion)

edit: should be same speed among 8GB,16GB, and 32GB

@mrfarhatadib89: I'm not sure about the 8GB being the fastest of all. It's just a theory that it should be faster because there's less items to load.

@ping0613: I think that the program will load faster during the second time because it has been saved to RAM already during the first time it was loaded. That's if you don't fully quit the app. Just my guess/opinion.

Btw, is it safe to use the Garmin XT Mobile with V21.00.04?
I read that there's some WSOD (Whitescreen of Death) problems related to FW V21.00.04 with Garmin Mobile XT.

no. i meant same speed, is same speed compare among 8GB, 16GB,and 32GB. not compare between 1st time load or 2nd time load.
sorry, din stated clearly and make u confuse. tongue.gif

Tried doing a hard reset? Another thing, make sure that your Nokia Software Updater/Nokia Ovi Suite on your PC is updated before updating your X6's FW. You're using the 32GB Music-variant, right? Maybe it's not available for your variant yet?

I can show you. Try to capture the picture of the GPS.
I did try. X6 16GB is definitely faster, even in the menu.
GPS is far better reception.

when u listen to music n turn the volume to max, the sound ok anot?

It depends on the bitrate of your songs smile.gif
This phone is very sensitive with your song quality...
If your song has low bitrate(around 128kbps), the speakers will sound grainy at loudest...
If songs with bitrate about 320kbps, there;s no such problem (Crystal-Clear biggrin.gif)

As I have said it will be faster in overall performance for smaller memory devices beacuse there's a lower workload on your phone since it only needs to access smaller amount of memory smile.gif

If storage more, speed less...

I realised this since using Sony Ericsson K850i...when I used 2GB it's alright...when I used 4GB it's slow...

So, bare with the speed if you want more storage biggrin.gif

And if you've more apps, it slows your phone down by a lot...

*
Yup X6 32gb is the most laggy after all. And X6 8gb they actually improve the back cover into more thicker size so that not easy crack.

@hongchai888: Actually, there are some people I know that find 32GB lacking. They fill their 32GB iPhones (not talking about X6) to the brim with music and apps.
If you can manage your files/folders properly, I'm sure that wouldn't be a problem locating your files.

@Codyx: Thanks for the tip.
Btw, how come the Nokia WH-701 (included earphones in X6 16GB) doesn't work with Mac/iPod? It only works with the phone itself?
I plugged the WH-701 into the X6 and it works perfectly.
However, when I plug the WH-701 into my MacBook/iPod, the sound is muffled or cracks.

Added on August 8, 2010, 8:46 pmI thought the earphone is a standard 3.5mm jack?

You know why Iphone 32GB not enough? biggrin.gif
Cause good games like Asphalt 5 takes up about 100++ mb of memory biggrin.gif
Imagine yourself filling your Iphone with games smile.gif
Very easily used up lur...But Nokia apps are all very small sized...never exceed 10mb one biggrin.gif

The only way to fill your Nokia is to fill it with music and videos lur biggrin.gif

It's not just Mac stuff...my WH-500 cannot work on my computer because the 3.5mm connector made by Nokia is slightly modified for specific features such as controls and mic smile.gif that is probably why we can't use it with devices other than Nokia smile.gif

Buy your own headset lur...RM100+- can buy a decent Headset rclxms.gif ...it's not like Nokia headsets are very good also but WH-500 is not bad though biggrin.gif

Like they said...the earphones got other features which modded the jack itself....certain plug-ins may work or they will only receive mono tone instead of joint-stereo(certain devices like laptop you need to put the WH-701 jack out a bit to listen clearer but might not be the best sound)...for me, I'll buy a better headphones and use for all-purposes biggrin.gif

@hengguowei: Yeap, I agree that iOS Apps require a lot of memory space.

Thanks all (ping0613, hengguowei and Codyx) for your reply regarding using the WH-701 on the Mac.
Btw ping0613, you must be very lucky because you can use your WH-500 on your PC whereas hengguowei can't use it on his PC.
I am actually using the iPhone-supplied earphones with my MacBook. I just wanted to try the WH-701 (from Nokia) on my Mac.
Honestly speaking, after comparing both earphones (one supplied with iPhone and WH-701 supplied with X6).
The WH-701 has better sound quality when compared with the Apple earphones.
However, the WH-701 is "in-ear" but the Apple earphones are not.

Just now my Mum complained that the slider (to lock/unlock the X6) was slightly loose and also the back/battery cover is slightly loose (about half a mm of freeplay when you press the back/battery cover).

So, I thought of replacing the hardware slider's function with something like a "Slide To Unlock" from iPhone.
I read about nUnlock but my question is, can I just use the nUnlock/Slide To Unlock to unlock the phone without using the slider (on the side of the X6)?
My aim is to not use the slider at all. Thanks in advance, your reply is most appreciated.

believe me...use "slideunlock" from opda....it has all the customization you need and theme you can get build-in or external source....and if you talk about memory consumption? it's all liddat....it is feature or speed you want

to be frank, i have abandon on-screen slider apps which because once in a while they will have "delays" which is not comfortable when you are in a hurry instead you'll use the side-slider(applied to whatever application which runs on memory)and you might get more often "memory low" warning and the phone might automatically shut the program down...normally when you running full-mode web page with lots of elements...for me, i applied a tiny paste(not too sticky and visible) on the intersection of the side-slider for it to slider smoother and friction-free(that's save some life-span as well) biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Made Your Choice icon_rolleyes.gif

or wait for Symbian to release something like on the C6's screen-slider feature which i posted before-hands

nope. never feel hang on my slideunlock. FingerPrint is useless leh..
Cons (Based on my experience) :
1. no way to lock...has to use physical slider(at RHS of phone).. shakehead.gif
2. when scan, take time, and most of time may not successfully scan (always show授权失败).. shakehead.gif
3. can unlock the screen by only press red, menu or green button. then wat for we using this software? shakehead.gif
as a conclusion, no point to use this application. this app just look abit pro, like military finger scan; other than that, useless.

I think you know you could change the "slide to unlock" alphabet to the wording that you like. My screen now is "touch me and kiss" me instead of "slide to unlock" tongue.gif

@ping0613 and Codyx: I'll be getting the nUnlock. It has a pretty nice iPhone-alike "Slide To Unlock" screen. I'm using the *ahem* version. Need to do some "certificate signing" first.

Slideunlock also got...i think even nicer...you might want to google some theme to view yourself drool.gif

I prefer Nunlock because it is fully lock with no exception anywhere wheres SlideUnlock the option button still can press...lols...

Use this app as well : Pocket Lock uses the Proximity Sensor to lock your phone...freaking awesome app biggrin.gif
http://www.mediafire.com/?n2utas4dwkupnup

And it doesn't consume much electricity if you're wondering...cause I check through Energy Profiler it's almost no difference when you on Pocket Lock or off it biggrin.gif

Enjoy biggrin.gif

Added on August 9, 2010, 8:42 pmBtw, the link that you provided for the nUnlock, may I know what version (5.1?) is it and is it signed?

Yes, just copy and paste it to your mass storage. My advise to you, open a new folder and rename it "symbian" for your future convenience

Inside the folder I sent you, got one application file. Just open it and get the code from there. (must do it from your computer) Mind to tell me the code you get afterward?

Hey guys, what do you do when your phone hangs?
My Mum complained that her middle-button (Menu-button) doesn't respond when pressed.
She pressed the "Power-button" (Top-right) to shut down the phone but it didn't respond either.
I had to remove the back-casing (battery cover) and remove the battery to force a shutdown.

charging while phone still on, should be ok, will not harm batt.
but when charging, got call come in, then will harm batt. because batt adi getting warm when charging, plus call come in (batt become more warm). batt will turgescence in this case.

Clareen is selling at RM45 each inclusive delivery.
Still....original is better then this type of 3rd party battery.

My Mum hasn't complained of her battery life.
She uses the phone quite heavily for music/navigation/average of 4-5 calls (incoming/outgoing) and has the "Display brightness" right in the middle. The phone can last her 2 full days but she turns the phone off at night (11 pm - 7 am).

I would prefer NOT to use 3rd-party battery due to their reliability.
Btw, the Nokia X6 was just launched only, so quickly you needa' change your battery?
I think that it's the vibration/haptic feedback/backlight/searching for 3G network that really drains the battery life.

switch the haptic feedback off lo...and if you don't want 3G then turn your network to gsm only lo and backlight switch to lowest even under sunlight also still quite visible for light usage...so turn to lowest lo...then your battery will last longer biggrin.gif

You probably need to uninstall any Mod you applied on your phone before applying PJP....since PJP will overwrite some system files including your landscape MOD....perhaps you just need to re-MOD it...

@hengguowei: Yeap, that's what I meant.
Btw, in the "Settings"-menu there is a "Light sensor".
Does it really change the brightness of the display according to the ambient light surroundings?

Thanks for the reply. I used it to control the brightness of the screen.
I was wondering whether it actually works because I saw the screen dim suddenly when I brought it into a dark room. I thought it was my eyes... doh.gif

No quick office pre install. You have to download and install it yourself. It's a free application.
But you have to pay in you want the editing feature.

i also cant update by FOTA and NSU. Btw, send ur hp to NCC and let the pro update FW for u.
For RAM issue, can try to use ramblow. it will boost up the ram.

@AskarPerang: My Mum has QuickOffice pre-installed in her X6.
However, it requires a serial number/activation to edit documents so I uninstalled it for her.

Added on August 12, 2010, 2:46 pm@ping0613: When my Mum bought her X6, it also came with V20 pre-installed.
I think it's also because you bought your phone before V20 was released but my Mum bought her phone after V20 was released so it was pre-installed.

If you buy a Capdase/Epikcase to protect your Nokia X6.
Would it still be able to fit it the provided in-car holder (that comes with the Nokia-Navigation package)?

Just uninstalled the nUnlock V5.1 because I think it's not fully 100% compatible with X6 FW (V21.00.04).
It made the phone (X6) hang numerous times and the battery trick had to be done a few times....
Anyone with a similar problem?

Added on August 13, 2010, 1:33 am@kyoko4eva: Tumpang your question regarding sports tracker.
Does the app utilize the Integrated GPS, as in do we have a choice to switch from A-GPS to Integrated GPS or must we use A-GPS?

anybody experienced hang problem when browsing with Opera Mobile 10? it happen to me when almost time i browsing.. sad.gif sad.gif

after that, i choose to use Opera Mini 5.1. it work well with my X6. thumbup.gif Opera Mini wont lag on my X6, and Page Loading much faster than Opera Mobile (but hav to admit that Opera Mobile has better performance).

Try Opera Mini browser instead of using Nokia Browser. thumbup.gif

Epikcase can fit. The Epikcase is just a layer of rubber.

@leyley: Thanks for the reply but I doubt that with the Epikcase fitted on the X6, it will fit with the Nokia-provided in-car holder. Without the extra casing it's already very tight so I doubt it'll work.

i don't think its that complicated, as long the phone has a built in gps, should be compatible with the app
but well, i had the endomondo app in my phone already, haven't had the time to test it yet, so i can't confirm with you.

but while surfing i stumbled upon the 2nd app in (2), so i might as well ask whether anyone had already tried one of it.

btw, for yr nUnlock problem, try MyKeylock, who knows you might like it

Opera mobile is built more for touch screen phones...I don't experience any crashing but loading pages is slower on Opera Mobile because the quality is better than Opera Mini...unless you want to select Opera Turbo which your images will look a little blurry but pages finish loading in no time biggrin.gif

Altogether, I'm pretty happy with Opera Mobile (compared to Nokia Browser)

Would love to have Skyfire supporting Asia countries again so can view full flash content biggrin.gif

Why mine got no problem? biggrin.gif
did you use my installer? smile.gif
I'm on V21.0.004 firmware smile.gif
And there's no problem with Nunlock...it's fully working smile.gif
I still prefer Nunlock over SlideUnlock cause SlideUnlock the options button still can be pressed which is a bad thing...

Try the Pocket Lock...it's really useful biggrin.gif

No hang wor...loading pages is slower than Opera Mini because of the quality...Opera Mobile loads pages in higher quality than Opera Mini smile.gif

but if you want speed over quality, you can select Opera Turbo in Opera Mobile Settings...This will give you faster loading time but lower quality pages biggrin.gif

if you guys think opera mobile is slow just go to settings and switch to "mobile mode" then it will be fast like mini's...otherwise loading a full version website is 10 times more resource eating than mobile version...scripting will kill your memory fast

@hengguowei: Thanks for the reply.
I'm not sure why the nUnlock V5.1 isn't fully compatible with FW 21.00.04, it just hangs randomly and I have to do the "battery trick".

Thanks for your advice regarding the certificate signing.

@kaigraphy and aspire2oo6: Please relax guys.
There is I-GPS and A-GPS in the Nokia X6.
Without the I-GPS, you'd have to be paying to utilize the Mapping Software.

y not u read my post first doh.gif...16k and u say i spam doh.gif...so stupid nokia may have list spec site wrongly...so since so may of you say got igps I take it got igps then...its cause that spec site din't state clearly...

y only state integrated a-gps... thought should like 2 i-gps and a-gps like my n97 mini....

http://www.nokia.com.my/find-product/all-p...-x6-32gb/pop-up

GPS and navigation

    * Integrated A-GPS
    * Ovi Maps 3.0
*
I-GPS = Integrated GPS. without it, that means ur phone dun hav GPS at all. hav to use those web based GPS or bluetotooth GPS, like what aspire2oo6 and TechnoDude94 said just now. On the other hand, Assisted GPS, generally abbreviated as A-GPS, is a system which can improve the startup performance of a GPS satellite-based positioning system. boost up the speed of connection via network. That y someone complaining open A-GPS will consume 10 sen(beased on telco rates)

@xtreme_paranoid: You mean this color? It's called "Amethyst" and it's only available with the X6 8GB. However, as far as I know it's only available in the Nokia Europe website. I can't find it on the Nokia Malaysia website. Maybe it (Nokia Malaysia Website) is not updated yet cause "Amethyst" is a new color?

@AskarPerang & SKY233: Haha, I find this color unique but don't really find it classy though. Just my opinion.

I'm not sure if it's AP or Ori (Avaxx). As far as I know, it's a new color.
Maybe Zitron/Avaxx just started bringing this color in and it's not available in the Nokia Malaysia website yet?

@ping0613: Zitron and Avaxx might be selling the Amethyst-colored X6 but because it's a new color it might not have been updated in the color options in Nokia Malaysia's website yet. So I can't say whether it's original or AP.

@xtreme_paranoid: I can't say much regarding it's originality whether it's AP or not but you said that there's the "Genuine Sticker". Also, please read my previous posts, like I said it's a new color and may not be in the Nokia Malaysia website but being sold by Zitron/Avaxx.

usually, the ap set imei not same as box. for secure, u may send an email to nokia M'sia to ask about the warranty. if they reply ur phone still on warranty, then proved that ur phone is ori.

u guys are confuse between ap and ori. The reason sometimes AP is different from the box its because the phone do not have a box maybe recon, stolen, found, bring in without box. So they simply buy boxes back like in garage sales some ppl phone got stolen or missing they have no use so they sell the box away. This seller will buy it and put the phone in it and look like new

Ap is like original it comes in the box.

Countries like US, Australia and etc they get FREE phones only country like malaysia we are paying full price for it. This guys take those free phone into malaysia and call it AP phones. Only Malaysia have AP phones in other country nobody wants an AP phone because they if they sign a contract with their telco they get free phone in indonesia

Different is the warranty only

Ori by Malaysia avaxx, zitron, arista back by nokia malaysia

AP by some 3rd party company that nothing to do with nokia malaysia.

i thought such phone are call waterset? On the other hand, AP means "approval permit", in Malaysia, SIRIM is the agency that will certify quality of the phone and if they comply with the standard, they will receive the SIRIM sticker

water set means never pay tax aka no sirim chop. Example u ship 100 units of X6 and got stop by custom as long as u pay for the tax they wont take your stuff. You cant be so specify the word because AP for phones are alittle different

We define them by its warranty because the phone is the same

@hongchai888: If the battery/charger/accessories are not original but the handset is original and matches the IMEI on the box. Chances are the seller swapped the accessories to provide a cheaper price.

Yes thats from my understanding of AP phones.
*
AP set & Ori set both SAME things in terms of phone quality built(from same factory) only difference in firmware(maybe due to regional code)...easy as abc...

those with AP here will need to flash their phone manually to asia pacific/malaysia firmware or they have difficulties in updating

after that, AP = ORI biggrin.gif

indeed. AP almost same as Ori, just warranty term different. But M'sia phone seller always misleading ppl..Everything that not from Ori, they will say is AP, even water set, stolen set and so on... Confuse the buyers only.
Got some dishonour seller even change the accesories to non-ori..too bad.. shakehead.gif

@Codyx: AP and Original have a difference in warranty terms, right?
I mean that we can send our X6 to any Nokia Care Center but we can't send our "AP X6" to NCC, right?

Our definition of ORI and AP is the warranty. Both are as real as the real phone.

Ori warranty - Cover by Nokia Malaysia
AP warranty - Cover by some 3rd party company nothing to do with Nokia Malaysia and cost incur by themselves.

cannot be. if what u say is true ill stop buying original di. U wanna test all u need to do is ask them to replace casing and motherboard you see what reason they give u.

No matter how good u say the company is the cost is bare by themselves. Imagine to replace motherboard cost RM900 do u think they just replace for you? for free?

Ori is 1 year warranty
AP is sometimes 1 year to 2 years warranty but wait until u have problem u will have a fun of your life

that's applies to the "nature" of your phone problem towards the warranty terms...and...if you got an error for the motherboard after a certain time of usage...probably caused by self-flashing or electrical issue....even NCC sometimes can't give you a repair based on your own fault...and again, most known AP company nowadays might will charge for some service on repairs but AGAIN...it's all depends of which company you were dealing with

lastly, referring to my experienced on electronics devices so far....

" IF YOU CAN USE IT FOR 1 MONTH, YOU CAN USE THEM FOREVER ".....well unless you break it in the middle...nobody can help you cry.gif

My N73 ORI Zitron charger contact wear N tear cannot charge, sent to NCC, they tell me collect after 4p.m, take home try, realise they did not fix or replace it.

That's why I don't wanna buy ORI Nokia set anymore, if the phone is new just released, buy AP set sure safe is new set won't be recond or 2nd set, so ORI or AP no difference.

The one in Burmah Road opposite Midlands 1Stop. Don't bother try again, why waste the time knowing they will never fix the problem.

@hengguowei: If there's scratches at the bottom.
It could be due to dust particles stucked/caught in your Capdase-casing.
If there's dust particles trapped in between the casing and your phone, it may cause hairline scratches.
Just my 2 cents. icon_rolleyes.gif

It's just probably dirt. Try wiping it off with a slightly damp and lint-free cloth?
