Does this only work with Huawei BTU (planning to get the rt-n16) or can it work with the Fiberhome BTU?

If it only works with Huawei, can I just buy it and plug the fiber into it?

Sorry for the noob question but been googling it all day but still couldn't find the answer.

Sorry, false alarm. Plugged IPTV to the wrong LAN port (why they would put the first port from the top as port 4 and not port 1 is beyond me).

So for anybody encountering the same problem, make sure you plug your IPTV into the correct LAN port - port 4 (or the first one from the top). rclxm9.gif

RT-N13U Less memory but can support 3G USB Modem and Unifi much more cheaper, For RT-N16 no support for Unifi yet.

I am on RT-N13 beta firmware.
Having issues with IPTV.
Is it due to the DNS as I have changed it to Google DNS.
Any advise as SetupBox failed to acquire IP and shows failure with some error code.

Hello everyone,

Firstly i would like to thank everyone for the information on this thread which i followed closely before getting my RT-N56U 1 month ago.

Currently i have a problem and would like to get some advice from the experts here.

By router was working fine for the last 1 months but since yesterday, it bricked and i am not able to access it. Only the power light stays on and the reset worked the first time but now it does not help at all.

Now the power light keeps blinking and it seems to be bricked.

I know the warranty was void when i flashed it with the beta rom for unifi but since this was not due to the ROM update, would i still be able to get this replaced/fixed by Asus?

any other way of unbricking this beast?

Rgds

updated info:

Managed to go to rescue mode and restored the previous firmware. the problem is that everytime i power off and power on, it goes back to the bricked mode. and have to repeat the whole rescue process again.

I just bought Asus RT-N13U and found that if i start downloading using wireless (desktop with N150 wireless adapter), the ping to router become very high. But this doesn't happen when i use wired connection, is this normal? hmm.gif

Same here. using firmware 8.22.2.3 from KLSEET website for unifi configuration. The router will hang after one day running.. have to keep rebooting it to get it working.

I bought my Asus N13u two weeks back and started using it replacing the DLink 615 from TM for Unifi.  I have also experiencing the router has to be power off and on after one or two days. When it hang, I can not access to the admin console to check what is wrong. But I can see my PC network link is not getting an IP address when it hang.

same problem here.. can we highlight this up to Asus tech team?

Hmm, just experience the same problem for 3 times yesterday. I have tried to flush the firmware for 3 times and still experience the same problem. Seems like many peoples are having this problem. Did anyone manage to solve the problem? icon_question.gif

Sigh, have to use back the DIR-615 temporary, as least got no such problem. yawn.gif

Just bought asus rt16 from all it,the curve yesterday and flashed it with firmware from klseet. thumbup.gif

Initially thought got problem, then after an hour of trace, finally trace to account issue.

Make sure your unifi account id and password is correctly configured. To confirm your account id check the settings at your current dir615.

*** It may not be the same account id you used to check your account from unifi web page ***

Hi All, I have RT-13N-B1, not using since bought in June 2011. With box. I tried to, but bricked it, just got it back as new replacement unit via waranty claim last month.

Now, have not even got a chance to use it nor update the firmware.

I'm letting it go @ RM150. Still under warranty (3years-few mths).

I kat puchong. COD preferred (if delivery..have to add cost). PM me.
