A question. How many lines can a house or apartment have? Is Unifi a different thing altogether and not using the streamyx line?

Situation: TM is going to install Unifi at my condo in PV10 Setapak.

Question: How long does it take to complete it?

yes its different thing altogether as it uses fibre cable not the old telephone copper cable.

how many lines, u mean telephone line?
as much as the amount of port available on the telephone box outside ur house.

Unifi for landed houses will employ Fiber to the Home (FTTH) technology, so TM will lay and pull a fiber optic cable to your house.
Unifi for condo / apartment buildings will be using VDSL2 technology and this will ride on the existing copper line that your apartment/condo/building has.

This is also in the Unifi brochure, pasted conveniently on the 1st page of this topic.

Which means for apartments I can only have one connection at a time and not say, 1 streamyx and 1 unifi? Or is that possible? Because I am going to rent a room in KL and don't really want to share the same connection with my housemates haha

you are only allowed to have one connection and not both at one time so choose wisely. will it be streamyx or unifi, you decide wink.gif
