QUOTE(akerue @ Jul 26 2010, 03:16 PM) I registered for VIP5 last Monday, installation is to be done this Wednesday. I hope I can connect the IPTV via Homeplug. I remember reading somewhere that IPTV does not really run well on Homeplugs due to the interference or smth. Let someone more knowledgeable come and clarify.

Unifi uses fibre optic cables. Its underground. So you wont have to worry about lightning strikes. No more copper cables involved for it to reach your house

QUOTE(Jeremy_John @ Jul 26 2010, 05:16 PM) Not all area underground... but the fiber is still safe from lightning Thanks for rectifying QUOTE(K.I.T.T @ Jul 26 2010, 05:22 PM) so the others place cant get UNIfi mean the fiber optic not ready yet? so the increasement speed is fiber optic and not the pakej right? but the gateway still problem? if the kabel putus di laut like 2 yeaers ago problem all TMnet user UNIfi and Streamyx got problem? because the improvement just the optic cabel only? Yup. They use the same international underwater bla bla cable as Streamyx. Haha.
