hi there.. i also hv problm with virtual keyboard.
1st reflash (guide from 1st page)..not working
2nd restore original setting..not working also
lastly...clear device..(setting/clear device)...restart...really work..hahaha ..but it's clear everything including cotact & install program..
my N900 is a.p set...my code is : 059B800...right now...i hv to install all my program (forgot to backup )...

ur problem exactly same as mine, even the code is same....hear my seller said the virtual keyboard stop working because of the chinese(pinyin)apps....but Gouki which have same region code don't have virtual keyboard issue....wonder what's wrong....

i using global firmware..even b4 i reflash for d 3rd time (i reflash 2nd time to update PR1.2), it work perfectly..
the problem started few weeks ago which cause me try to reflash for d 3rd time to check can solve d prob onot..but still occur eventhoguh i reflash d internal memory

i uninstall all program, just to make sure it not bcoz the program i installed..so i'm not sure about the chinese (pinyin) apps..but it really work

n900 firmware is not locked according to region code, unlike symbian.

Did you check your virtual/swap memory usage when the problem happens? Try to open Conky or HTOP and see the "Swap Usage", check also the CPU and RAM usage. Try to monitor and report here the status.
From Conky, you can see at the bottom the Process name with CPU and MEM usage.
If you're using HTOP, you can see more and you can order by the highest usage for each column by touching it.

Reflash again(rootfs+eMMC)
But this time use the phone as in factory state(no apps installed) for 1 -2 days.See if the problem still there.

i think is around rm 1.4k or higher(u know Ipoh hp shop like to slaughter), weird case Angel don't have ORI set.

sad part is mine already send for warranty....

when the time i bought N900, i can't find shop at ipoh selling it, after found one.....the price different is RM110 compare to KL.....

about the seller....so far no complain....he didn't ask much question when i want to send the phone for warranty

but one thing u need to know is this seller don't have shop at ipoh(his shop at KL)....anything happen to the phone, he come to ipoh collect the phone from us and take it back to KL and send it to AP service center for us.....phone will return to us minimum 1 week time....that's the bad part
