actually not only NAZA... what can i say major car dealer has a same symptom...
that's why i wrote my own personal agreement and ask them to sign...
if they refuse, switch to another dealer...
i've done this since 10 years ago & all my previous car transacted very smooth...
attached my sample agreement... u can modify it to suits your requirement...

Hi bro Epo, thanks very much for the informative post. Regarding the Agreement. Can that really work as an "agreement"? I mean, do we need to have a stamping chop from lawyer to make it legitimate? My concern is that the dealers can just simply sign it and claim that the agreement cannot put into play when issues really arise... hmm.gif

posting on behalf of a friend which is planning to upgrade his almost 1 year old 1.6 forte ( end of 2009) for a 4wd cx-7 (due to sudden work requirement).
he went to a few used car evaluator and to his shock, they value his car at less than 55k!
mileage was around 3x,xxxkm. bought cash.
btw, we know korean car are notorious for it's drop in resale value but this is just too much for a newer model like the forte.
anyone can confirm the 2nd hand value of the forte?

thanks in advance.

1) its the car dealer quote to buy from your friend. if sell direct to potential customer you could get higher value (i.e. rm55K (car dealer quote, maybe they sell at rm65K). so you could expect rm65K roughly for market value.
2) its 2009 car. already near 2 years in market (regardless months that u bought) - cyber already explained this
3) for 2 years car rm82K (assume it's 1.6SX), then 82 - 65 = 17K lost. its expected to lost more in 1st year and 2nd year.
4) your car color also give small contribution. grey is the safest color and they always quote higher for grey. grey = easy to sell its a universal color for all cars (dont flame me i read it somewhere, maybe there is truth in this). maybe white will fetch higher value for forte because demand for white is highest among other color
5) there is not much owner selling their forte, as at now maybe less than 10 units.
6) car dealers maybe sceptical in why your friend want to sell the car regardless of any reason that he gave. suspicious no 1 always = accident, no 2 = flood, no 3 = unknown problem
7) to know the real market value for forte, need to wait 3 to 5 years more. that is when owner will ditch their ride and hunting other new models in the market and where lots of reference to market value could be made.

don't flame ya.. just a thought to share will all..

no need... enough for you to bring it to TTPM as a proof if something happen...
sometime dealer just a normal people... he'll also afraid if u know something about law...
if he think he can't agree with it, he also don't want to sign...
so from there u know, this salesman can't be trust...

TTPM already established a few years back but no one still want to use on it...
trust me, TTPM helped a lot...

8) also to add, maybe the first few 50 owners who sold their rides are the benchmark. how high you could hold the selling price. coz market value is depend on the average selling price. not the lowest and not the highest you can sell.

I believe as long as you have the original signed copy of the agreement, that's should be good enough.
If still not satisfied, just get the stamping done (RM10 i think?)

Hey guys...need your advice as i'm planning to get a forte 1.6ex. I was browsing around and i saw a few ads around saying got free bodykit and selling approx 75k. Are these sellers trustworthy? or where would you recommend me to go for a good and trustworthy seller. Of course i'm looking for the best price and want the bodykit as well biggrin.gif
