Ngog took his chance very well. Other than that, for a home team we should have done alot better. RH has to work on the tactics more.

Our defence was ok but, apart from Masch, our midfield could have done better : Gerrard seems to be missing his role playing behind the striker (taken by Cole), Kuyt doesn't have his full energy yet, Jole Cole is still adjusting, Jovan is still adjusting (both to his team and the PL)..

The most pleasing part is how the team carried on with 10 men.

The difference compared last year, is player plays with head up instead head down.

Even with 9 men, Liv/players eager to search for winner after Arsenal equalised.

Those involved in WC one especially later stage one, clearly not fully recover/fit yet.

It was nice to meet you as well Duke and the bunch from MyRawk, never been in a presence of such fervent and knowledgeable fellow Reds', and such a big group! a far cry from the lots that i can count by hand that watches Liverpool matches in Penang thank you again! rest assured ill look forward to the next viewing ill try my best to come if work allows me to, mamak also mamak-lah laugh.gif as long as there is a place to watch the match.

as for the match. I honestly thought that we'd get all 3 points but its such a pain to be sucker punched at the death by Reina's own goal..I wouldn't hold it against him, afterall he was outstanding bar the blunder that he committed, overall it was good to see Liverpool back in action, still feel that the players are still feeling out each other and build that understanding. Cole wasnt outstanding probably shouldnt have gone off yellow yes fair but Red is too harsh, in that case Rosicky should have been off for his tackle on Gerrard in the second half. poor refereeing to say the least.

We played much better with 10 men compared 11..which is odd to say the least..overall 1 point against Arsenal I'd take it though the manner on how we got the point still irks me.

There's nothing to be ashamed of yesterday's performance. There are a few chances in the 2nd half where I realize N'gog doesn't have much support (since there is no Joe Cole, the 2nd striker back him up).

There are a few good runs and crosses on the right from Kuyt n Johnson...and I was thinking if Joe Cole was there, it might make a bigger difference in the scoreline....but oh well, ref mistakes are pretty common nowdays. We've seen lots of those in the WC anyways. :/

And all the football pundits can now rejoice! No longer will they have to see the usage of zonal marking in the BPL! (unless some other team now uses it laugh.gif)

No. He deserved that. That was the only decent chance he get and he slot it in with a great finish. He also works his socks off the whole game. Working alone up front.

Jova was great too. He'll fit in soon enough. Meanwhile, Masch played with passion and MOTM. Too bad he's off to Inter or Barca.

Althou I admit that N'gog's finishing is spectacular, I still regard that as lucky goal. I think Hart, VDS, Reina and Gomes will be able to parry that kind of shot.

The point I'm trying to make is Almunia is partly responsible for that goal. And I as well agree that N'gog has the same class of finish as Torres. shakehead.gif
That is a great instinctive shot, but a keeper should have done better to block it.

watch again Ngog's goal replay, see properly how fast n heavy the ball shot was..
if u are a keeper, i dun think u can block that ngog's shot too, frankly speak here..

no offense to anybody, credit to ngog for his superb finishing... just hoping that he can improve on his ball control...

Added on August 17, 2010, 3:31 am...and i still wondering why some of us still questioning about Ngog's goal -----> whether it was lucky or not, almunia's weak la, vermaelen slow la and what so ever..

hey guys, no matter how the goal was scored, it is still a goal and we should joy for that, and give the scorer some necessary compliments...

come on guys, Ngog already prove (2-3 games before) that we can rely on him as backup slot for Torres.. give him support pls....
