Insua, Babel, Lucas can all go but should not go at a loss to LFC.

Insua looks much better going up than when he's back defending.
Lucas will look better in a slower league
Babel may look better in a lower ranked team

IMHO, all three are not good enough for LFC now. In the future .. who knows? Got two or three years more to wait?

With no clear bidders in the horizon, we will not be able to finance any player purchases. So we can forget about all the gossip/rumours about Crouch, SWP, Warnock etc..

It will then be left to the experience and shrewdness of RH. Where that is concerned, I think he's miles ahead of RB. I have confidence in RH's management because he's done a good job at a small club with very limited finances. If he'd come from another biggie and known to spend many millions here and there, then LFC is dead duck!

As it is, I'm looking forward to the new season and very interested to see how RH can (better) use the players under his charge.

Ngog took his chance very well. Other than that, for a home team we should have done alot better. RH has to work on the tactics more.

Our defence was ok but, apart from Masch, our midfield could have done better : Gerrard seems to be missing his role playing behind the striker (taken by Cole), Kuyt doesn't have his full energy yet, Jole Cole is still adjusting, Jovan is still adjusting (both to his team and the PL)..

The most pleasing part is how the team carried on with 10 men.

The BBC reported that LFC played a second string team this morning. Wonder if BBC meant that as a compliment or is displaying its ignorance and falling standards. Except for Martin Kelly (who is up and coming), many of the PL managers would love to have the other 10 players in their 1st team!

I believe we are more than capable of scoring in Turkey - we have the players and I think in RH we have a shrewd enough tactician.
