Bro, the game's engine is so good that I turned of AA completely.
Runs average of 50~60.1fps on 1920X1080 res. (with 5850 OC'ed modestly at 850/1050)
Without AA of, you're barely notice that "rough edge", and the game runs superbly like an FPS game should.

Yeah, before I was obsessed with choosing between AAx2, AAx4 or AAx8 in C:W...but with a little research I found out that a lot of people recommended to turn it off completely.

So bro, do try to turn the AA off and see if the graphic quality still remains beautiful for you, esp the train level where the mountain/canyon falls apart... (if you notice)
Another bonus factor of high fps, is, you can aim precisely without that lagginess, esp when you need to do "boom headshot!" on those koreans to finish them of quickly and preserve ammo...

I did ran 3DMarkVantage 20hours ago for C 10.8 but didn't feel like posting the screenshots because the result it about the same as 10.7, but that's just that old synthetic benchmarker... haven't tried gaming yet, will today...

i have a problem here.. hope u guys in here can help me to solve this problems..

1st of all, im using lcd acer h233h n using hdmi connector to my 5870..

the probs comes when i want to play crysis, my windows not be in full screen. when im choose at the setting at the game for fullscreen, the windows looks like zoom out..

its looks like have a scaling problem..

why is this happen to me? apakah dosa ku..

help me please guys..

I decrease the reso 1 increment back (for 16:9 monitors) and got full screen for Crysis.
The graphic is not bad at all though...
I only able to get a full screen @1920X1080 with a VGA or DVI cable.

On that note, I encounter an annoying bug for the 10.8 when using HDMI cable to get full screen (max scalling) on my AOC 2434,
the scale keeps reverting back to small every time I resart the comp and have to manually re-set the the scalling again and again...
Do you encounter this on 10.8? that is if you already updated to it....

Revert back to 10.7, that if you are not playing SC2 for enabling AA. Me, not a fan of these strategy like game, so I'm going to revert back to 10.7.
I already compared the performance difference between 10.7 and 10.8, it's very unnoticeable when gaming, so revert bro.

On the other hand, TwL mod Driver v3.95 is an alternative, plus better performance from the official drivers...

EDIT:
FYI, the Crysis issue (can't fullscreen) I'd encountered it waaay back since I first bought my AOC 24" 2434 back in January using HDMI cable, if you use VGA/DVI cable, there's zero scalling related issue.
Prolly gonna either revert back the drivers or just switch to DVI cable...

Hey guys, planning to assemble a CPU of my own. Just wanna know what's a good graphics card around 500? Was thinking bout nvidia geforce 250GT 1g, but I heard amd radeon's better? Wanna know what you guys think. Primary game would obviously be SC2. Any input would be appreciated

Actually, the problem is with the Asus P7P55D board. The ram compatibility issue. Newer ram may need to wait for new mobo bios for the dual channel mode.
Some time, the mobo required us to manually input the DRam voltage to 1.65V (DDR3 Standard/Max) and BSOD will gone.
Try it if u still get random BSOD. As for now, u can download the memtest64 to your pendrive and test ur ram in dual channel. If something not right, it will have error then u know what is the problem.

lol when uninstalling 10.7 to update to 10.8, becomes BSOD.

finally able to update n turn on 2xAA in SC2. definitely can see the improvements in picture quality. 4x & 8x is too much for 5770.

After starting crysis, press ALT + ENTER to switch modes. Eventually it will become full screen.
I am having the same problem oso. It is because of using HDMI cable. No problem with DVI though.

im not recommend 10.8 here for those who r not playing sc2..

i think for 32 bit is 86..

32=86, 64=64

and about twl modded driver = ati catalyst that modified by guru3d ppl.. more stable n more performance than the original catalysts

can't do with that kinda cooler .. am using a SFF rig so single slot is my only choice

i see..then u need to wait for the single slot reach soon..

btw,small form factor u mean is ur mobo size is it?..other than that,what make u fail to use 2 slot?ur casing small or u using the PCI slot under the PCI-E?..

and yes i'm on 10.8 and DVI..just update last night..10.8 Bugs?..
