dun tell me i got defect core sad.gif. max temps it hit was 61 C, but for a while it will drop back even at 58 C constantly when the test progress, man OC is fun but pening siot!!!

You mean Core 2? But literally doesn't seems like a damaged core. Maybe any experts care to advise him rolleyes.gif

i think shouldn't be a defect core, just the calculation got wrong result at the core, mean this overclock maybe cause error. sweat.gif

Mana upgrade mah, downgrade kire tersepak duit tepi jalan ke? Bukan tergolek tersepak kayu ka? :/lol:
Stat lah tuh mau timbulkan kontroversi, no ram lor just plain old cpu  :/w  :/w  :/P
kontroversi ke spekulasi ke... kite tunggu & lihat ajer... tongue.gif

load temp was like 62-63C,(coz of the  high volt i need to pump), tried lower volts, cant get to stable above 512k ffts, keep getting blue screen(hardware failure n bla3). 300 HTT? i got BE, just use multi, if wanna play wif bus, alot of stuff need to be done, maybe downclock my ram first or whatnot?
*
try these:

ht link @ 7 * 300
nb freq @ 8 * 300
ram near 1333/1600 (depend on how well it clock)
vhtt @ 1.3v
vnb @ 1.25
vimc @ 1.25~1.275v
vcore stay below 1.5v.

QUOTE(selferino @ Jul 23 2010, 01:54 PM)
here's my my latest priming stable using fft option(max 1024k MAX to 128k MIN), 1 minute per test(thou sumtimes they go more thn 1 test, like to test for some FFT, weird :/stars:  :/stars:  :/stars: )
[attachmentid=1689615]

this time my CPU-NB i put 1.25v only rather thn 1.4v, my cpu volt still the same(1.47v in bios but it will always be lower using Everest, CPU-Z n HWmonitor), CPU-NB speed still at 2600MHz, tats all i change, but weird my second worker(2nd core) got fatal error, but my other workers still fine n manage to pass the test( izzit bcoz i enable rounding check error?) :/stars:  well i dunnno, dun tell me i got defect core :/(. max temps it hit was 61 C, but for a while it will drop back even at 58 C constantly when the test progress, man OC is fun but pening siot!!!
*
i always use customed blend test, min @ 8, max @ 4096, minute = 1

not all core have d same capability, there is/are always weaker core(s). weaker core(s) != bad core(s) thou, AMD never guarantee all d cores in their chips have d same mileage, unless we are talkin bout stock clock. nod.gif

from d manual in MIT:

cpu clock ratio = cpu multi
cpu nb freq = cpu nb aka nb freq multi
cpu host clock control = htt
pcie clock = pci-e freq
ht link freq = ht link multi
set mem clock = mem divider
dram config = mem timing

set sys voltage ctrl = manual

d rest like what mentioned b4. quite direct if u ask me... smile.gif

owh yeah my mistake, no otption for ht link multi, only freq, n no option for ht link volt setting. MSI still has these as far as i can remember, why not gaygaybyte? shud i use AOD instead? but thn evertime i OC, like if i set the bios for cpu vcore at 1.47v, n thn go into windows n open AOD, it willl read at the default volt(1.4v), same case goes to the cpu-nb volt. but AOD alwat gets the cpu freq ryte( so does cpu-z tongue.gif)

can't be... if ur not gettin what u see (after pressin ctrl + f1 in bios main page) as d ss posted, then something wrong with d bios. have u tried other version of bios? msi bios is decent but i'll take award bios anytime anyday if d board can match what i wanted. never trust aod as its compatibility differ from boards to boards. i trust cpu-z & hwm more. some more, u got easytune & d wattage monitor tool there w/ u, why not make use of it? hmm.gif

basically there is 2 "vcore"
cpu vid and cpu voltage
CPU VID is the voltage that the proc demands.. non BE proc will permit 1.35vcore max only (depends on proc maybe).BE might go as far as 1.55v.. . normally shows as 1.3v, 1.35v like that...the exact value of vcore..

and another one is cpu voltage or any other name that similar (but not CPU vid)
this always shows in +0.01v , + 0.02v like that la..showing increment.. so this cpu voltage will add up to the value of CPU VID...

gigabyye (or atleast mine) dont have the option to alter the CPU VID..and AOD will detect the CPU VID..not the total amount of vcore (cpu vid + the increament)

er..correct me im im wrong tho..
