@ shinjite,

bro, what do u mean by "For Prime95, if using CPU Tweaker, set the tFAW to 30"? d way i interpret it is by using tFAW @ 30 can reduce vcore? mind to elaborate more? hmm.gif

Base on an otai's experience and some forums I searched, tFAW at 30 helps on prime 95 stability on Intel chips
So I suggest you try that for your friend's AMD chip as well smile.gif
*
thx for d tips bro, i'll try that out for my 4400+, d rented 1055t is goin 2ml so i'll spare d chip a torture... tongue.gif

for d moment, heat is d obstacle for u to achieve higher clock, load temp @ 59'c for a 3.4GHz spells something wrong w/ d coolin, either cooler or bad air flow. hmm.gif

on x4 b50 + hyper 212 plus @ push-pull & el cheapo biostar 790gx a3+, i managed a 3.5GHz w/ load temp @ 52'c (vcore @ 1.3v). voltage (vcore) wise i'm pretty sure u need < 1.3v for a 3.4GHz, not so sure how gud is d air flow of ya case but it'll affect temp for all components quite alot. do something bout it & then u can go w/ higher no. hyper 212+ should be able to handle up to 3.8GHz w/ gud air flow in ya case. smile.gif

bro, why bother bout oc w/ cpu multi while d board is capable of decent htt oc? could it be d ram that's holdin u back? hmm.gif

QUOTE(clon12 @ Jul 5 2010, 10:20 PM)
I have already installed the Hyper 212 Plus fan towards the behind of the casing and installed another fan at the back to blow the hot air out. Another fan is installed at the side of the casing to blow towards the Hyper 212 Plus. All I could think of now is adding another fan on the other side of the Hyper 212 Plus making it dual fan.
*
how many exhaust fan u have there in ya case? what case ur usin actually? mind to post ss @ load w/ hwmonitor? gotta check what are d temp for all components of ya board. c3 (not all thou but i can safely say quite a no) is capable of nice figure in oc. nod.gif

it's not a gud idea to put left as push, it is better off act as pull coz movin d hot air outta d case is more important than pushin cool air thru d cooler. same apply to top where pull will be better option instead of push. my 2 cents... smile.gif

what do you meant by c3?

I will try to change the multiplier to 18x and see the temp. If it exceeds 62, will anything happen? yawn.gif since the max for 955 is 62 degree
*
955be got 2 batch, one is c2 (earlier) & c3 (later). c3 offer higher mileage & lower volt @ same clock if compared to c2. 6x'C wont melt ya chip, so worry not, most likely just bsod/prime failure. u must watch out d vcore thou, coz d higher it is d hotter d mosfets will get, d ohtter d latter are, d easier they get toasted (if not actively cooled). brows.gif

i think that could be d turbo multiplier (under turbo core), hardly heard of lower end chip has higher multi than higher end. some bios of 8xx series allow d use of turbo multis, too bad ahsos el cheapo boards like my fren's 88td-v evo doesn't have d luxury to enjoy such feature, not so sure bout chiv formula or extreme thou... hmm.gif rolleyes.gif

hi guys
is this OC a good one?

or can improve

i'm using 800mhz andi didnt use 667mhz(333mhz) to start my RAM overclocking
jst start from 400mhz directly wif the timing shown in the picture

i try to put down to 333mhz, but i cant exceed 260mhz cpu clock sad.gif

duno y rclxub.gif

i use
x10
x3  ( reduce my MB temp ?! )

p/s : CPU temp jst fine, it never exceed 58'c, using CM hyper 212 +
please advise  smile.gif

divider or multiplier? I can't really get the full meaning of your sentence though yawn.gif
That OLD stuff is somehow just 4 days old biggrin.gif
*
meanin it's not necessary that d instability is caused by lack of vcore, it could be ram/nb freq or even temp issue. addin juice is just one of d options. but if u leave everything @ stock (meanin u only play w/ cpu multi), then it's pretty obvious that it's vcore/temp(if load temp is kinda high) related. smile.gif

QUOTE(blue16 @ Jul 9 2010, 02:16 AM)
it can boot , but become very unstable even i increase d Vcore

now changinng to
9x
3x

running wif 290mhz wif vcore 1.45v

the freq of the ram lowered to 667mhz and oc until 872mhz

wif the timing of 4-4-4-16-24

currently stable wif this setting smile.gif
will try to increase the clock again,  icon_rolleyes.gif
but duno got big differnce wif the previous one or not  rclxub.gif

the maximum temp for the 3800 should be 69's is it?
*
windsy f2 aint really a clocker, i've tried few, most topped @ 2.5~2.6GHz only. u got a nice pair of ram there bro... thumbup.gif
