QUOTE(ah_khoo @ Jul 5 2010, 10:35 AM) @ shinjite, Base on an otai's experience and some forums I searched, tFAW at 30 helps on prime 95 stability on Intel chipsbro, what do u mean by "For Prime95, if using CPU Tweaker, set the tFAW to 30"? d way i interpret it is by using tFAW @ 30 can reduce vcore? mind to elaborate more? So I suggest you try that for your friend's AMD chip as well |

QUOTE(clon12 @ Jul 6 2010, 06:54 PM) Yeah so thats the same as the CPUID. but what i dont get is..if the system is not stable, it would have been bsod/cant bootup, but check with cpu-z i cant really find any relevance...>< Normally we use CPUZ or other softwares to check the voltages and etc etc under load (thats what I do)This post has been edited by shinjite: Jul 6 2010, 07:15 PM |

QUOTE(clon12 @ Jul 7 2010, 02:21 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I ran the test. The temps are around 52-53 max. I ran it for around 5 minutes only. The temps are quite low maybe because it's raining now (: Going to 19x later! Added on July 7, 2010, 7:55 pmI tried to go to x19. After booting to windows, opened cpu-z,hwmonitor, amd overdrive and prime95 instantly and my pc restarted..so should i increase my voltage? I guess 3.8GHz should be my last oc |

With new manufacturing process nowadays, both Intel and AMD can clock at high speeds~~
Those were the days where AMD 3Ghz was like godlike to achieve haha For Intel, it was 4Ghz Now....both can easily do 4Ghz (performance aside, switched places) haha I think my WC setup not that optimised....stock speed 2.2Ghz at 1.1V, idle at 28c load at 38-39c. Any comments? |

Currently me priming small ffts (heats up the CPU a lot more than blend) And also testing my Crucial Ballistix Tracer RAM, which just came back from RMA recently, running at DDR1066 at 2.1v (Its hot weh!!! although LED blink blink ler) My OCZ Reapers keep aside first Below is the screenshot Full loading at 40-41c (non aircond, freaking hot today ~_~) |
