Thanks for your suggestion...but what I meant was, I want it to be vibrate during silent mode, then I also want to turn off the vibration if needed.

Wah, i dun think this is possible leh. It's either vibrate + silent, or non-vibrate + silent.

I guess you could use another profile instead if silent... but i guess using the power button is a little less convenient though

maybe you can create a new profile or edit ur silent profile.. what u can do is to set the ringing type to 'ringing' and set the volume to the minimum. by doing this, the ringtone would be very soft and hardly noticeable, but u hav the option to silent it when u got a phone call and thus the vibration will also stop.

Hey guys, I recently sent my e72 to have its LCD replaced and when I got it back, its just like a brand new phone =).

Only thing is, the envelope icon (sms) keeps on flashing even though theres nothing in my inbox. Also how do I remove the annoying 'set up communicator' thing? Thanks.

Menu > Control Panel > Modes > Home screen applications > uncheck Communicator.

As for the blinking envelope icon, I have no experience with that. I'd try fiddling with the sms notification option in home screen applications, resetting to factory settings or performing a hard reset to get rid of it.

OT: Bought a new E72 after my faithful 5 years old w800i's joystick and camera died. Had everything set up -- MfE, advanced call manager etc and used Ovi Maps to navigate my way through KL's confusing roads within the first few days of owning this device. Feels like I'm wearing this workhorse thin but yeah my first smartphone and I'm loving everything it has to offer like great battery life, the feel of the device in my palm etc. Didn't feel the to be an unpaid beta tester for android or wp7. laugh.gif

Go to message, open sim message and delete all the sim message, then the blinking envelope icon will be gone.

Communicator Mobile enables people to see their colleagues’ availability and click to communicate with them using the best method, from instant messaging and e-mailing to texting and making a phone call. The names and statuses of colleagues are embedded directly into the devices’ contacts application, enabling people to update their own presence, start and join instant messaging sessions, and begin calls directly from the contact card.

hi all E72 user, i just bought Nokia E72 White Navy Zitron set today and i got 1 problem,

the phone will start to hang / cannot respond at all after the lcd light fade (when not using) or when using GPS (Ovi). try to off the phone using power button but fail and only off by take out the battery,

already go to the place i bought it but the sales person said that the ori memory card is faulty and replace me one but after the problem still occur after 30 minutes.

i take out the memory card and sim card also fail to function (still hangs)

Mine is the same set as yours, so far encountered 3 conditions of white screen:
1) Alarm, when phone was turned off, some times it won't able to sound because of white screen hang. So I don't turn off my phone when next day has important early appointment.

2) Opera Mini, white screen once.

3) Ovi maps, today, I forgot what did I press, white screen once.

For your case, I think you can connect to OVi suite, and then at the Software Update there, click "Repair" or "Reinstall".

Yes, required 2 profile. I use the following profile

Vibrate + Silent = Silent mode
Non-vibrate + Silent = Meeting mode

my wife's white e72 latest firmware based on nokia update website and also ovi suite is 051.018; i suppose better wait till v052 comes out since its said v052 is better. sweat.gif

Worst still is i am unable to sign in into nokia ovi suite software using the username and password which can sign in at ovi webpage. I suppose ovi suite software problem but just to check - anybody else havin' same issues? or do i need to register a new account for the ovi software?
