btw any idea why skyfire is not available in malaysia?
i installed and it says since 1st june its not available anymore

if you really can't wait for the new FW to be available, then u can go change the product code (via NSS) to one that already has an update available.

search for nemesis service suite 

personal exp, better go for other nokia model or bb >_> me have bad exp with e72 >_>

trade in for rm800 and add rm200 to get bb9700

actually it's one of the reasons why im ditching the fone.
RAM is just way to low even after a fresh format.
even the E5 has 256MB.

Actually as for the ram issue, i'm just only gonna be using it mainly for SMS, MMS, GPS and Skype. Would the phone be smooth to run on these simple apps?

And the reason being the consideration of this phone is that newer models, such as the E7 mentioned above, would be too pricey when launched. And if i do wait for those newer models value to drop, even NEWER models will be out. All in all, unless i've got the money, i'll never be able to catch the trend. So all i needed was advice of a yes or no-go for this phone hehe

that's quite true, plus it pwns the E72 at social networking as well.

What I like from BB9700:
1. Screen. Clear and fine, simply superb.
2. Optical pad miles ahead from nokia. Sensitive and easy to use. It should be the industry gold std.
3. Ergonomic, slightly thicker but lighter than E72, easier at the hand and not easy to slip off.
4. Software is rock solid and secure.
5. Looong battery life so far.
6. Browser speed is surprisingly good and has improved. Now is a joy to use. It renders flash page better than E72
7. Camera software is better then e72 but e72 quality is better

What I dislike from BB9700 are:
nothing so far

What I like from E72
1. GPS map installed from mem card
2. A wealth of S60 applications available
3. Nice keyboard
4. Flashlight
5. Ability to remote lock the phone via sms. BB should make this as a std too.

What I dislike from E72
1. Often hang and need reboot,
2. Camera hard to focus >_>
3. Optical pad sucks compare to BB
4. Slim but heavy. Not so good ergonomic, easy to slip off.

What if nokia improve E72 with added feature such as touch screen with qwerty keypad. Then there is no need for navi key...it will be much easier to play with E72....   

Ah i see. I was initially curious as to why Nokia had 3 official distributors whereas Samsung had one, which was FMG (which now i heard it's no longer in operation). So i used to think that Nokia could only have one and only one distributor. Then i figured out that probably it was cos Nokia didn't want only one distributor to monopolise the market.

I have another question actually: What's the difference between the Nagivation and Standard set? And why is White Edition pricier?

Oh! Thanks for the link. I checked Nokia too some time ago but missed out that part. It seems that White Edition has got only one item extra: Bluetooth gadget.

However, it mentioned only the White Edition set but didn't mention anything about the Navigation set.

a quick question here..
if i turn the assisted gps on, will ovi maps always connect to network for navigation?

does ovi maps connect to network so that the satellite will find my position only and thus navigates without connection to network..

this is bcos im using prepaid plan n i dun wanna waste $$$ juz to get to use GPS navigation while i can wait several minutes for the phone to get satellite signal w/o assisted GPS

Any solution to the email notification problem? Damn, this phone is worse than nokia e71 when it comes to multiple email notification.
