I think the price for 1.5TB back in July is around RM280 for Samsung F2.How is the price for 1TB and 1.5TB for those HDD manufacture, the price list seem like outdated. notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif

i didnt notice F2 1TB how much. i think around RM190. but for F2 1.5TB im sure its RM230. Try survey at either C-zone or Viewnet. Last month ive bought F2 HD154UI for RM279 at Czone.

you go whole world also only got this color. its silverish-white body with white illuminating led.

if want black color go buy Seagate Expansion only RM420 i think. but i dont recommend coz many reviews said its prone to failure.

Hitachi also is black color but its a newcomer in external HDD, so not much known about its reliability. But its cheap, im not sure if its still around in Lowyat.

Theres also Buffalo. If im not mistaken its RM400 only at All IT. But the design is a bit ugly for my preference.

IMHO, overall Freeagent Desk wins coz got 5 years warranty.

Hello, which capacity HDD is worth buying now?Is that rational to buy a 1TB than a 1.5TB HDD fill it up and wait for the HDD price to drop further before purchasing a bigger capacity HDD?
What is the price for 1TB and 1.5TB HDD now,cz the price list doesn't update for sometimes.

The bigger is always the better. Invest in 2TB. Got my 2tb seagate external last Nov. Now it's like, left 300+g. You'll never know when you will run out of space! biggrin.gif

I'm just waiting for the 2TB to breach lesser than 300 bucks mark before getting one for backup purposes.

Hahaha, what is the extact price for now?But my opinion is maybe 1.5TB more worthwhile in price/GB.I only want to use the new HDD in my 'toaster' to store my content. What is the extact price for the HDD now?
Maybe will buy a 1TB now,cz i think the price ll drop in a very short time, then I will buy a HDD with a bigger capacity. smile.gif

I dunno about Buffalo but its a popular brand for 2.5" external. From the picture, the casing looked glossy but when i saw the display set last time its not. Also i forgot there is also WD Mybook Essential, it looks classy, although abit pricey.

I got my seagate freeagent 1tb around 315 bucks end of last year. Now should be much, much lesser. Better get the 2TB imo. More space.flex.gif

And registering at the website does not take long, and you'll automatically get 5 years warranty. brows.gif

Here's the spec for it. Seagate 3TB External HDD

Unfortunately, it seems that it will stay as external HDD for now. Amazon currently selling it for £399.99.

I'm hoping to get 1TB HDD about RM150 by the end of this year rclxms.gif
