dude.. are u able to move apps to sd card? it seems like the old school a2sd is not working with leedroid 1.4b.. or is it just me? some apps which design for froyo can be moved but the old ones i still can't figure out why can't move it. ext3 partition is there though..

hmm.. gingerbread still seems like rumors though..
*
seems like on mine every apps is installed on SD.. there is no move option btw on a2sd+ if im not mistaken since everything is forced to be install in that ext3. Try downloading quick system info from market and see on the basic info, it should show A2SD storage details. Mine says : Total 458MB Free : 293MB

These questions have been asked countless times. Pls use the search button.

But i agree that it should be added into the FAQ section.

TS - Will you be able to update the FAQ with a link to rooting? Maybe http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=696189 (XDA)? Thx!
*
Agreed, FAQ should be updated with rooting info.. we cant blame new dudes for not using the search function as perhaps some r really new indeed to this atmosphere but for some others.. ehem2 (including me also lazy tongue.gif )

about sending back to warranty, seems like the desire dosent have that Solex lock on the boot.. i did ask some guys at Nexus1 and they said the desire dosent have that but it is visible on nexus one. Its not confirmed that sending a rooted and loaded with custom rom desire bout getting back warranty.. but at least unroot it and flash back original stock rom so that there wont be any issues when sending as since we dont have the visible Solex locker at boot. Lets try to just to be on the safe side rclxms.gif . Does anyone have any supporting opinions or details regarding this one?

btw, been wondering, does anyone appear to came across our current stock rom file? Its on hboot 0.80 btw if im not mistaken b4 i did the root on mine

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

LeeDrOiD_Mod_V1.4c is out just now btw.. perhaps im skipping this one since it does not affect so much to my current 1.4b

V1.4c:

* Added Footprints by popular demand
* Bluetooth Car Kit fix (thanks to Aiuspaktyn)
* Added custom bootanimation functionality, drop you bootanimation.zip into /data/local/ (untested)
* Added Desk Clock
* Fixed "connecto to pc" (may require a full wipe)
* And a few other minor speed/stability tweaks

Im using LeeDroid Mod and i recommend you to try this one in case ur going to the dark side with us  cool2.gif .. he is very fast at fixing bug and he is very dedicated at it too.  rclxms.gif

Hi there, just curious, I was reading about the custom rom and found that the LeeDroid Mod does not have the Stock application, that's not something I can live without. Would there be a replacement for this app from MArket that you may be aware of?

Well, i am beginning to get really tempted in the rooting, considering that i might not void my warranty tongue.gif And most important is that HTC had not even announce a date where Froyo is available. First June, then July, then August, then Christmas. Not even sure whether they are going to be here anytime soon. And if its indeed by Christmas, the so called Gingerbread will be around the corner as well. Currently, the easiest way seems to be Unrevoked but not sure which ROM to choose. Kinda interested in OpenDesire but any other recommendation? Something easy to use and stable.

i cant help u much and guide about unrevoked since im using the old method. Im not even quite sure if unrevoked allows flashing using rom manager (update zip flashing) or it uses recovery image. Try reading more on unrevoked b4 u start working. For sure u will get root with 1click using unrevoked but i dont know about flashing custom roms when ur using unrevoked. Perhaps its the same and perhaps not. I just don't know. Did u find a full tutorial using unrevoked and flashing custom roms once u used unrevoked? If u do, why not share here so that we could read on that also smile.gif Please do a lil bit of homework i suggest.. hehe.. its better to be safe

Anyone here tried unrevoked and wanna share some tips for this fella? btw, im sticking to Leedroid mod with froyo sense.. i still prefer sense over vanilla smile.gif I tried so many roms before even the vanilla ones but i really do miss htc sense so much. Just my 2.30cents here

Yup, download the latest rom file (.zip)... use rom manager to flash it. Some update requires a wipe but some don't so there is not much a hassle when there is no wipe needed. Wipe is actually sorta a factory reset and clearing cache to avoid system conflicts that would end up in a reboot-loops. b4 wiping, its best to backup stuffs and restore back later. Ive been following up LeeDroid's, as u can see.. on 1.4a updating to 1.4b which includes the battery indicator fix, no wipe is needed so i just flash it using rom manager, it installs and done. All data is still in my phone.

But this morning he posted some new tweaks and fixes to 1.4c that "recommends" a wipe due to some system changes. Ill just skip that update since its not much a problem to me and im kinda busy today to perform a wipe. Before flashing and wiping, its better to perform a backup using titanium backup and mybackup pro. I used titanium backup to backup games progress such as Fifa 2010 and Zenonia, all restores back just fine, no need to play all over again icon_rolleyes.gif

you can update it using OTA (over the air) aka wifi which u can do it urself. Not sure about AP set but for ori set u can send over ur phone to service center for software updates. Availability of update depends on ur set. European sets usually gets updated 1st before asian. but perhaps the gap wont be that long hopefully.

Do you have any guide on how to do it on the old method? I choose Unrevoked because it seems to be the easiest out there at the moment, and by that, it means less risk tongue.gif How good is Leedroid? I need Sense as well.

Its always recommended to buy Ori instead of AP. You will still get all the software upgrades from HTC even if it is AP but what you are missing is the warranty from SIS here. Its either you get warranty from respective shops or you need to send it back to the original place to warranty.

if u want longer and safer warranty side, go for ORI,
if u dont care much about warranty and want cheaper price, AP suits u.
