well from i notice, i think Apple do know it will affect the signal, that well they introduce BUMPER.
apple always left out this and that , so that the more apps developer will come in to fill the hole ..
developer are earning from it, so there will be more and more developer for apple =)

Maybe using Invisible Shield or Bodyguard could prevent the reception loss for those who do not like a cover like me ..

guys quick one.
from 3.1.3, "Shift + Restore" > select OS4 = restore or update? kinda confusing here

and

after OS4 upgrade > "set as new phone" = all previous saved data gone?
if this is what it takes to fix the 3G signal problem

nvrr done this but i THINK as long as u've sync everything like mails, contacts, notes to outlook/windows or mac contact or whatever than can be saved on, then set as new phone u get totally clean like fresh out of the box phone but when u sync back everything back in their places. n i think except for smses. i don't think outlook or whatever softwares can sync with smses (correct me if im wrong).

but don't blame me if u cnt get back evrything coz im unsure myself, do at ur own risk bro icon_rolleyes.gif

I don't really mind using the bumper but only if I get it as a present or something. Too expensive for me to spend money on. laugh.gif

If not I'll just have to be careful not to touch the bottom left antenna area when I get the phone.

different ppl got different preference. but y are u comparing with 2.1 rather than 2.2? tongue.gif btw since u ask here of course most ppl will say they prefer iphone 4 hehehehe.

here are my reasons. honestly i was impressed with froyo 2.2 but the 1st thing about android is i dun like the inconsistent interface. one app looks so different from another app. 2nd is how android is growing so fast that the phones got outdated quickly..look at the xperia X10, damn expensive but got outdated within juz a few months. 3rd, manufacturers always want to add their own UI like HTC's sense and this creates a delay when their phones can get the latest android version (that's why the desire is still on 2.1 not 2.2). only the nexus one is free from this.

that being said, i really wish iOS will get something like android's notification system and widget support

For me, its a big fail for the iphone 4 must use the bumper for it to
work properly,oh come on, i love iphone but i dont like any bumper for it.

the reception issue is major down for me, why use phone that cannot work properly on it own?? Hope apple do something to solve it... shakehead.gif

It's impossible your sim can be locked after upgrading unless you're using the official distributor telco simcard. What appears on iTunes after you plugged it?

Means when you bought it in the US for example you are US US simcard and when you brought it back here then you change it to local M'sian telco simcard
The iPhone bought with local telco here? Or was it a second hand unit and was told by the seller it was an unlocked unit? A little history of the purchase might help a long way
