backup is only the app data , contact, sms, mms ...

for apps n songs... you have to sync it back...

Regarding the network issue, I'm frustrated as well.

It's unbelievable when some says that it's a minor issue. If network is not then I don't know what could be the major.

While saying that, iP4 still not in the hand so can't say for sure since other users didn't report of such problem.

Since there are 3 seams, we have to avoid bridging that seams which quite impossible to hold it the natural way

If a bumper is required to solve this, that's not the solution. They can't force everyone to buy a casing or the like. Some prefer it naked

yes, you can... there was a post in the homepage of LYN showing on how to cut our sim card to micro sim card a couple of weeks ago... but you will need a micro sim card as a sample for the size measurement..

After I upgraded my i3GS from 3.1.3 to iOS4 yesterday morning around 7am, everything working fine till yesterday midnight. I tried to sync my i3GS with iTunes. Syncing successful except for back up. I can't back up my i3GS. Error said iTunes could not back up iPhone because iPhone disconnected, pop up and I little panicked. Then i tried to restore back my i3GS but the the restore finished it halfway and error 29 pop up. My i3GS stuck at recovery mode. Then i do some research and finally I kicked out from recovery mode and also managed to restore back my i3GS but something bad happened. My i3GS keeps restarting after a few minutes especially when it is on charging or when I using it.

Is it iOS4 bug or my i3GS's hardware faulty? Before this my i3GS had been water damaged and recover from it. Only headphone jack defect. Is it possible to change the water damage indicator to normal and go claim warranty or iPhone repair shop could repair it if i3GS warranty has ended up?

i think maybe his iphone got soaked wet made it become that way. my 3g has been working fine for 2 days with ios4 now. altho theres 1-2 second lag in loading msg n camera, im still satisfied because other apps seems fine so far n battery life seems longer than b4.

Hi guys, I'm currently using iPhone 3GS on tethered Jailbreak by Blackra1N. Firmware is 3.1.2, SG set. I'm using DiGi line.

According to many gurus here, it's best that I restore the iPhone instead of updating to avoid possible errors.

But I'm a paranoid and I don't wanna lose my SMS, Contacts and various setting when I restore, so below, I have highlighted the steps that I'm going to take. Any kind gurus here, if you notice anything wrong in the steps I've mentioned, please point out for me. Thanks.

1) 1st, I will back up my iPhone through iTunes by right-clicking on my iPhone device and choosing backup (Instructions in the first page says do a full backup, I'm not sure if this is right). (This should back up my SMS/MMS, Contacts, Call logs, Email and calendar settings)

Or alternatively, should I sync the iphone instead?

2) I will restore to iOS4 with the file downloaded from here
http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite.net/co...93_Restore.ipsw

3) Once iOS4 installation is complete, I will then right click on my iPhone from itunes and choose Restore from Backup (This should restore my SMS/MMS, Contacts, Call logs, Email and calendar settings)

4) Assuming I did a back up instead of sync, I would have to download all the apps purchased from App Store in iTunes and sync the over.

5) By synching, it will automatically sync the DiGi ipcc file over to the iphone and MMS + Internet Tethering will be available automatically (not sure if this is true, but I rmb reading this somewhere in this thread, please advise)

Please provide comments on any mistakes I've outline. also, when backing up, will it back up my Email and calendar settings (via exchaange server) rights?

I've just updated to iOS4. Working well for now. Will post later if I notice any significant difference.

Mine working fine. Apps close right away when I tap the minus sign.
