Not true. My taman is a V cabinet and I just registered for 5Mbps Unifi. Will be installed this Friday.
The box is only 1 part of it. There are still a lot of stuff needs to be done.

In my case after the box (and rage why so long still haven't open registration), they still need to pull the cables to each pole in the taman. They also renovate the existing phone cylinder and add some more complicated stuff. After that once in a while will see people come to the main box with their laptop. To check the line I suppose.

The box is not all you need for connection.

P/S: I registered on October and saw the box on February I think.

This means when unifi comes to Kuching mostly it will be delivered via VDSL2 technology as i can see many "VxxxV" cabinet around Kuching. Am i right? unsure.gif

It doesn't have to be VDSL2 if you see those VxxxxV labelled cabinets because they might install a cabinet right next to it with Cxxxx which will provide FTTH to homes.

The advantage when you see a VxxxV cabinet around your housing area means fibre optic cabling is already laid around your area so chances are high that Unifi will reach your area soon.

i just got my unifi installed. staying in seputeh, opposite mid valley. 8 days after installation, found the speed to be quite good (coming from streamyx 2MB) but my IPTV box is spoilt even on standby mode and in used for 90% of the time sad.gif ....

Also received a similar call a few weeks back.
I asked them to confirm whether my area is truly covered or not. They called back later and told me not in system, sorry no coverage.
Pleasantly surprised at first, then unpleasantly disappointed heh. tongue.gif
