Just check at the unifi website that my condo area (finally) is under coverage.
before i register, can any guru can help me with tips regarding with the installation process so that they won't charge me extra such as the cable etc.

Y no unifi in taman desa tambun ipoh

1st contractor do the fiber optic cabling
other contractor joining the cable
other contractor will supply the hardware/utility/dslam box @ upgrade current box
other contractor will setup the box
after doing some testing, then you can register



at my place, now they busy to install/lay cable everywhere... but some of the cable still no joint to other
and some of the TM DSLAM box still empty & without any electrical wiring

There are cases those thing they do will not include your place.

Mine was all done. Whole taman was covered but my particular jalan was left out and the lame reason is that cannot cover all.

not like me taman u nearby UTM still no coverage WTF n i still got a lot of STEAM games 2 download worth more than 15gb each

Received a call today from a malay girl claiming is from TM.She told me that my area will have unifi soon in 3-4 weeks and wanna comfirm weather i got register or not on their unifi demand list.
So i told her yes and she ask me to email my photocopy ic with sign and also together with mark 'For TM Use Only' to her for the unifi registration in order to faster process.
My house is landed house and my question is, i dun see any fiber box install on telephone pole bhind my house and i told her about that.Thn i ask her sure or not can get unifi after 3-4 weeks coz fiber box also not yet install and she told me most probally can be done very fast and comfirm got unifi coverage in 3-4 weeks.
LoLs.... u guys believe tht what she saying is true ?

My advice, at least make sure you can trace to where / who , you submit your ic. Don't simply email your ic to anyone without any reference. Such as, their website or their premise.

For me, better crossed your IC clearly and stated " for Unifi registration only ". If you write down for 'For TM Use Only', there are chances or risk , the IC can be misuse for register other TM related company product.

Always take precaution steps. BTW, i'm also Unifi user. Sharing info as user perspective. Thanks

Oh btw she asked me to crossed it also and write down there for tm use only.
I check my call list and the number she call is 03-78757176 and and ask me to send my ic to her mail at mktg.tmunifi@gmail.com attn to shikin.
I had no idea this is real tm staff or agent or fake one.I did ask her if she is real tm staff or agent and she told me tht she is from tm and not agent.Ahh... anyone can verify this ? Dunno wanna email my ic or not to her.

I will not submit my IC to her, even if its real I think she's an agent. Better be safe than sorry. All TM staff's email should end with @tm.com.my.

No harm applying at your nearby TM Point anyway right?

For me, its better to deal with honest person. My opinion, she is just agent. But when an agent pretend to be an staff, thats not good.

Its no problem deal with agent, as long as they deal with proper way. Actually TM do outsource sales & marketing to other company to promote their product.

So, its up to you to choose who you more comfortable deal with.

yesterday 1 person (said frm TM called me, but using HP no) say that my house ald covered..but when i chk at website no update n asked for my details said that i register interest with them..for sure i wont give my details that easy (i suspect agent), n i called unifi no n ask abt the coverage..still not yet covered T_T

in my case.. i couldnt care less.. i just register with them.. one would be online, one with at the booth and another one at the shelter right in front of my house..My ic all already crossed for Unifi oni..and I always have a standby copy in my car..

got the estimated date of installation.. fingers crossed
