QUOTE(skywardsword @ Oct 3 2016, 05:12 PM)
from my experience, 8 years waiting and going to tmpoint submitting application forms at least 8 times= nothing happend. Left right front back taman all got unifi.  I drafted a petition. And walked the neighborhood. I begged for people to sign support to request for unifi. People treated me like dirt, like some pest, like an insurance agent. Some treated me with respect, offered me drinks, to talk in their living room, and umbrella when it rained.

I got 7-80 signatures, (if my memory serves me, out of ~100).
That kind of got Tm's attention. After that, almost 1 year after that, unifi is available at my taman.

(in addition to that, you gotta research a bit. as some housing estate of old, the name, taman can be different for each different street, last time developer is small timer, one street one kampung name, another street another taman.) because in part of that, tm might not feel or decide there is enough population to even consider pulling the fiber in.

You gotta get some walking done.

If your female, I suggest get some guys to do it. Just not worth it to lose your life over internets.

Good luck.
PS: PM me if you want to use my draft of petition. <i still holding out, as RM199 omg so expensive.> alot of my neighbours signed up already. I spied some that did not sign petition also sign up for it.

Yes. If you want Unifi to quickly be installed at your taman, you gotta do a petition together with your neighbours.
If TM see the petition, then they will know that Unifi has demands at your taman, instead of just 2 or 3 of your applied separately.

My fight to get at least telephone poles in my taman took me almost 4 years. the first 3 years, i did what like skywardsword did (go complain to TM, etc etc), didn't work.
The 4th year, i braved myself to do a petition. Get signatures from neighbours and told about our request for telephone poles. Some neighbours were very supportive, some didn't even bother to sign or greet me outside. They might think i'm sort of insurance seller/MLM or something. sweat.gif laugh.gif

Then after gotten like 80% signatures, submitted the petition & request letter to TM, then5-6 months after that, i've heard UniFI was coming to our taman, instead of Streamyx. Even BETTER! cool2.gif

Now enjoying UniFi 30mbps blazing speed. Before this, i've had to endured using Celcom & Digi 4G LTE via 4G mobile router.
I've had to admit, 4G LTE is quite fast too but at the cost of QUOTA. doh.gif rclxub.gif

so, fiber optics > 4G LTE definitely.
