Guys, what headset is included to AP/ ori X8? Is it in-ear(vacuum) type?

may i noe y cant install semc flash driver wen upgrade to 2.1 ?

shit then too bad lo.
i study arnd sunway, so its easy for me to call for back up supply hahaha


the 1 included quite basic. dont even hav answering button for hands free.

I feel like getting one X8 since it's price is quite OK for an Android device, aside from the non-multi touch thingy, but I am worry about the GPS software, since I do not plan to have some unlimited data plan, is there any X8 user able to use the Papago X5.1 in their device? I read from some other thread saying it works properly in 2.1, plus it can use MFM map, so I will like to have a confirmation whether it works, if it is, probably I will get the phone very soon!

X8 is great with this price and updated to 2.1 firmware ! i'm nt sure for the gps software bcz i'm searching free offline gps oso.

i'm using papago x5 on my x10 mini.it's free.i downloaded from internet,no plan
and i'm using 1.6 at that time

but suddenly it stops working .dunno why
my iphone papago works wells.papago is a good gps

i think papago should work well on x8 too

Installed into my x8 and tried today work good bt no voice notification and old maps. You all can just folow the step and it wil work.

Hav u tried updating it using seus?
Some says if urs still not detected for update, juz click repair, n it will update urs to 2.1...

Tried repair & same thing. Software updated but still 1.6.

My code is 1240-6018-R3A

Any particular setting to on / off while doing updates?

I'm coming from exactly the same situation here....

Currently using a P1i paired with external Bluetooth GPS + Garmin XT. While its not the best, it definitely does the job & I'm sure to get latest maps from MFM and Malsing.

Besides the GPS applications, anyone out there have good reason to avoid this phone?
Kinda falling in love with the price, but I'm holding out for a Samsung I5800 / I5700 and the LG Optimus One P500

Id really like to stick within my RM850 budget for a new phone......

Probably the update is not out for that product code. I checked the xperia-x8.com and didn't find the code included in the update. Will out very soon I suppose.

Sygic Aura seems OK also, my belgian friend is using it and he said it is usable in Malaysia, though he bought the world edition. Malaysia & Singapore edition is 29.99 EUR.

Can you guys connect to WPA network?

Just got my phone yesterday and updated to 2.1. Everything working really well, later night will try out Papago! trial see if it works with the MFM latest map, if it does, I will buy the Papago! software.

can get for free la. just hav to look deeper~ google is ur fren ;P


overall X8 is really what u pay, what u get. the hardware matches for it's price,
camera sorta not ok...
built in memory 128mb...

now im really hoping that we can root v2.1 on x8, so can use app2sd.
any1 here successfully rooted their 2.1 device here?
