v1.6 is it incoming call only show number and doesn't show name even already saved ? i already download maxis mobile internet setting but i can't get online/internet

When I get my phone I have the same issue, I would think that probably the phone number need to put in +60 for all the contacts to show the name, updating to 2.1 solve the issue.

i also hope my x8 can update to 2.1 but it can't

So X8 cannot pinch the screen where as it doesn't have multi touch?

No wonder my gf's device playing Angry bird is quite hard >.<

since when angry bird nid to pinch? the game oni nid u to use 1 finger to drag, aim & release lol

ive no prob playin angry bird in my X8 other than the occasional lag on certain lvls.

just go to the sony ericsson and download the update software.
follow the wizard after that. mine updated with 2.1 like a charm.

i already did and it's show my 1.6 it's latest. nvm. i already know how. i googled and i follow the guide. rooted and change product customization code. afterthat only can update to 2.1

I don't think Angry bird need multi touch to work, no? But occasionally it will be laggy a little bit due to the high physics calculation, but I don't think multi-touch is needed.

Anyway guys, I wonder if you guys have notice the screen brightness changes automatically? Some kind of bugs or it's intended? I read somewhere saying that it is a bug in Android ...

i'm planning to get a X8 but i'm wondering:

1) does it includes chinese input for sms??

2) AP phone can upgrade to android version2.1?

3) can change qwerty input method to old normal numeric input method we get in normal button phone?? B'cuz the 3" screen can use qwerty easily??


if all answer is yes then i'll sure get one b'cuz it suits my budget... Plus i'm looking for capacitive touchscreen phone and X8 is the only one i found within my rm800~ budget...

but the stock chinese input is not so good
prefer google ime pinyin , you can get it free from market

android market can be used in ORI phone only??

Don't worry, everything on the original can be enjoyed on AP set except the warranty. Go buy it, it's a very nice phone i must say.

anyone using IM Plus ? i can't open/use im plus in my x8

Anyone have the restarting/black screen issue when using some camera apps like camera 360 or Vignette? Occurence is very frequent in my unit, I wonder what's trigger the problem.

if u play angry bird on a multi touch-able phone, you can zoom in and/or zoom out in the game. personally i like to zoom out so that i can see my bird and the pig... easier to play

planning to get this phone(X8) for my brother as xmas present. so X8 really don have multi-touch??? does it lag? thanks in advance

Ah, I see, never thought of the use of multi-touch there. Yup, not possible to have multi-touch. Which lag do you mean? The Angry Bird game or overall performance? Angry Bird could lag a bit in some stages due to high physics calculation, as for the overall performance, I can say it is quite smooth, except currently I have issue with third party camera apps which can restart or black screen my phone, other than that it is a very nice phone.
