camping starts on 3rd dec 5am.
i was there camping for 30 hrs. got my x8 for RM8.00 ;D

we were allowed to camp overnite on 3rd dec (2nd dec kena chase away) - 11pm onwards registration starts. RELA members came to help jaga. SE event facilitators spend the night with us. We all get to watch some movies like AVATAR, kungfu hustle blablabla. they dont allow friends to jaga. we were needed to register, if they check randomly & we weren't the 1 in Q, we will b disqualified.



the 1 they gave was v1.6. but we can manually upgrade to v2.1 via SE PC Companion ware, even the guys @ the SE shop say they can do the upgrade for us.

ya, they played using that screen.
we get 10 min breaks ma, as stated in T&C.
mostly students. got 1 uncle Q @ 16th spot.
brought my lappie. can charge during the day b4 the mall closes, coz almost each column got plug points.
upgrade is smooth for me

shit then too bad lo.
i study arnd sunway, so its easy for me to call for back up supply hahaha


the 1 included quite basic. dont even hav answering button for hands free.

overall X8 is really what u pay, what u get. the hardware matches for it's price,
camera sorta not ok...
built in memory 128mb...

now im really hoping that we can root v2.1 on x8, so can use app2sd.
any1 here successfully rooted their 2.1 device here?
i tried z4root, but dont seem to work.

root is a must if u cant stand the stock 128mb internal memory. after root u can use app2sd ( installs app in sd card), then u can install loads of apps an worry less on lag due to low memory. but so far, i cant root my 2.1.. sien

i dont hav that prob

when i connect, i only see 3 options on my phone screen. that data sync thing | install pc companion | charge phone.

no issue so far. i even used my n82 mircoUSB cable sometimes. no prob oso. can charge n transfer file.

Added on December 12, 2010, 5:48 ami tried installing, but NFS shift is optimized for those androids wif bigger screens. can run the game but some major area of the view is cropped

since when angry bird nid to pinch? the game oni nid u to use 1 finger to drag, aim & release lol

ive no prob playin angry bird in my X8 other than the occasional lag on certain lvls.

reduce ur screen brightness, im using it at arnd 20% saves a whole load of battery time

yo, im trying to root my phone here. but right from the start im facing prob edi.
here im trying to revert back to 1.6, stuck at step #6
"6) The flasher "searching for Xperia". Turn off your phone. Hold down the back button and connect the USB to your phone while holding back button. Once start flashing, release the back button."
when i press the back button n plugin usb, the flasher still say searching for xperia, there is green light on the phone but nothing i happening o.O
phone screen still black n flasher still searching for xperia

dont quite get it, what does that 2 hav 2 do wif 2.1 to 1.6 flashing?
my 2.1 update no prob when using, jz cant flash it back to 1.6 oni

nvm, found out the issue edi. cant flash in a x64 win7
i got a x86 flash driver from xda forums, installed it onmy 32-bit system then can flash edi. back to 1.6 successfully, now nid to root it


Edit : my bad, didnt find the right flash driver, here X8 Flash Driver for those who mite hav the same prob as me.

having issue with wifi, cant connect at all after root ;X

edit : i used this App2SD Mod (Moves dalvik cache to SD) then my wifi not working

i tried using the original app2sd, manage to install, but here im trying to install apps, it says ive insufficient memory

edit : resolved lol, nid create partition on memory card then can edi


anyone who has knowledge of enabling JIT, pls kindly make a step by step method wif screenie, if dont mind ;P

i tried JIT, on some xda forum. after enable, boot, keep on having the looping Sony Ericsson word.

Added on December 31, 2010, 1:17 amsucess in rooting + app2sd, cant JIT yet.

extract the contents into a new folder (i put mine in desktop) then plug in the phone in flash mode, (im using w7) so when i plugin, it auto search for drivers, then it says cant install, just go to control panel, hardware, device manage, u will see a SEMC kinda drive wif a yellow triangle icon, jz click on it go to properties, update driver by linking it to the folder u made. i did this without installing pc companion, im not sure if this is even needed wif pc companion installed.

HAWK reso is too big for our screen, can play but a big chunk of the view is being cropped of, and some major controls are there. so dont think can play.

yo sos tiram, thnx for the time to explain it all. jz wanna be sure on the xrecovery part, all 3 files i got form the xda link, particularly the busybox. so i install xrec wif it and when i wanna restore, i need this very busybox too rite. coz some certain steps we use in other mods hav their own busybox, or can mix n use other busybox ver? just to be safe

i can play x8 ver of eternal legacy but sometimes some mission can load till crash. it crashes too often and best to run overclocked.
