tooth pick is not strong enough.
What i done is use a small flat screw driver to lever it out from bottom. The grill holds it quite strong in there, and the grills are hard.

this is true.. r2000 & r1900III is huge. & the volume control at the back of the speaker is troublesome

u can adjust the volume using windows sound panel there..it;s good if ur keyboard can control..

it's also good if you're using a Macintosh

or use your 'gaming' mouse buttons to adjust the volume. very convenient.

But the speaker volume pots have the quickest way to control volume for me.

Finally finish modded my M3300 satellite speaker to bi-wire settings.
More detail and dynamic mids and good highs, smoother overall~ Thats what i wanted

got the r1900t3 cuz intimidated by the size of r2000. lol!
I admit i didnt quite like the sound right out of the box.
After changing cables and 6 hours of running in,
the sound is so smooth and clear now.
the sound quality at this cost is simply ridiculous.

give it more time(like 150 hours)
it'll sound even better (even if you're using stock cables)

Bookshelf speaker is easy to burn in....by torturing the speaker.
1. Wire the slave speaker to inversed polarity
2. Face both speaker together, kissing each other.
3. Get Burninwave Generator, generate 50hz for 5 hours in loud volume, the volume that before the sound starts to clipping.
4. Generate pink noise or white noise for 5 hours again under loud volume.

Remember to ventilate your room, and you have to withstand the loudness from comes out from back of the speaker

or you can use Edifier burn-in tools

cuz if u inverse the polarity scared the crossover will rosak...

wouldn't recommend blasting it at the first run tho... but nothing big will happen anyway

If you afraid you burned the voice coil you can try lower the volume a little, but the bass driver must vibrate at a decent level.

What afraid is voice coil burned, I'm not sure whether Edifier has done stress test to make sure that speaker set won't actually burned the voice coil under max load.

for bass driver I'd just use 60hz pure tone

I haven't burnt a speaker so far, but amp running with a temp like almost can iron cloth one got....

Just wanna show how much S730 moves??

it shows that the edifier responds deep bass better compared to logitech
logitech filters too high up oredi... while edifier can take some abuse from deep bass

so that means logi has got better filters? =)

they dun have "better" filters.
instead,they purposely filter it off so that it won't give out sound when go below that certain frequency.

which also means the amp is tuned up to 120hz and the box tuned to 40hz... that sounded wrong.
you get unplesant boomy whoozy bass
