QUOTE(rxy @ Oct 12 2010, 06:48 PM) yup... one frequency only.that means logitech designed it to play best on 40hz... but the amp is not giving the box a chance... there's ppl in the internet connecting the sub with a different amp and they say it's awesome |

so anyone know how to 'get rid' of this filter?
in my z cinema they like limit anything below 30hz so it doesn't move. while for the edifier, klipsch and altec lansing i can still see they're clearly moving. heck, even my laptop subwoofer moves when i supply 30hz tones. for z cinema i don't know what freq they tune, but for sure at 40hz it's just normal. much more boomy at 70-80hz range. |

You need to check the circuit and the woofer crossover there....

QUOTE(power911 @ Oct 12 2010, 05:47 PM) it shows that the edifier responds deep bass better compared to logitech hmmnn something not right about what you said hahalogitech filters too high up oredi... while edifier can take some abuse from deep bass its supposed to means loji plays lower frequency bass and the other plays all thats sounds like bass? i don't know which is right, my friend who works at bose told me about subs.... wouldn't it be messy fengtau sounding? subs are supoosed to play low frequencies only and stay invisible... 'only can feel the bass' now ima confused QUOTE(andrekua @ Oct 12 2010, 10:24 PM) Erm, I tot crossover use non polarised cap.. thats why dont need worry which side is positive or which side is negative? i've seen tons of polard caps in cheeposThis post has been edited by beggarmaster2000: Oct 12 2010, 10:34 PM |

'only can feel the bass' in computer speaker there's no subwoofers... all woofers only all make sound and not feel subwoofer... no hope lol... too expensive... if got chance,u try rotary subwoofer... no speakers used subwoofers are meant to shake your body and not make sound normally 5-30hz is called sub-bass frequency. humans can't hear it tho... that's why it's called 'sub'... aka woofer sampingan (add ons |

QUOTE(beggarmaster2000 @ Oct 12 2010, 10:33 PM) hmmnn something not right about what you said haha I always thought that Logitech plays nice on low frequency bass but then on the video, the Z5500 woofer can react with such low frequency but theres filter on circuit limits the frequency amplitude or cut off so that it can't react at those frequencies. The volume are quite loud, Edifier one response the frequency as it should, but the Logitech goes something wrong.its supposed to means loji plays lower frequency bass and the other plays all thats sounds like bass? i don't know which is right, my friend who works at bose told me about subs.... wouldn't it be messy fengtau sounding? subs are supoosed to play low frequencies only and stay invisible... 'only can feel the bass' now ima confused Normally people wanted 2.1 speaker woofer to sound like come from anywhere but reality it can be heard at a direction so it needs to be positioned. You can have fun with the subwoofer by playing a 5hz tone and see how funny it react, but remember that don't play too long it can be quite stress. |

The volume are quite loud, Edifier one response the frequency as it should, but the Logitech goes something wrong. easiest song to test would be the infamous bass i love you. there will be this low note where the subwoofer will slam obviously. now during that time, my z cinema (and z2300 and z5500 in youtube videos) will not slam as it suppose to be. already confirm with my klipsch ifi, altec ada885, edifier r501 and many other speakers w/o filter. Normally people wanted 2.1 speaker woofer to sound like come from anywhere but reality it can be heard at a direction so it needs to be positioned. The bass is too low that unable to listen already, just watching the subwoofer moving. Most of the multimedia speaker does not have crossover, it just let the woofer response to the range it can response.
btw, that circuit quite complex |
