Yea...same goes to stock M3300, my ear quite a pain when listen at a loud volume...

I found c3 has a boxy sound on its satellite too.

@beggarmaster:If u really interested,perhaps u can try modding R2000T..
Not S2000..
R2000 is slightly cheaper than R1900T3 but has got more space to diy,I saw from forum..

It is a wood, just a cheap version of wood...compress from wood grain...

it's MDF wood (medium density fiberboard)
some of the best material used for speakers.
they use it on satellite speakers and subwoofers
that's why normally edifier speakers always feel heavier than it looks compared to other computer speakers

edifier is some of the only computer speaker manufacturer that uses good mdf wood
sonic gear uses crap mdf wood
logitech uses good mdf wood but they are quite stingy to buy a thicker wood for subwoofers(plus their sats are mostly plastic housing)

lol, i remember the AL VS4121 use only particle board, that's why 6.5" woofer become so light, compared to other 6.5" competitors.

Higher end edifier speaker will use MDF wood on all speakers. Budget one only on subwoofer, satelite uses compressed wood grain.

Why it is like Edifier speaker with different manufacturer name....the amplifier back there design were almost the same like edifier too.
