Didn't know that body actually affect the sharpness of the picture so much. Thought a little only.

Well, I do know that body affects AF speed a lot (thought was only accuracy that would be affected). That time TT in ikea using uncle fisherman's 1d3 + 28-300mm L, lightning fast AF. Put on my 500D, shooting similar things in similar conditions the AF was slow and sluggish sad.gif

I noticed that last time when I mount my 85mm f1.2 L USM on my 1D3. The AF boost really helps a lot.

Fight what? I'm just saying the NR is not nice. Better have a bit of noise than make it clean but so soft.

Yes the single shot response of the 1D is like greased lightning. It's terrifyingly quick. The response is just so quick, I dont even feel the half click then press shutter, while using the 1D. It's almost an instant, direct press of the shutter once u put the selected focus point on the subject. Just mash the button down n it shoots immediately.

That's what I always say oso but a lot of ppl dont believe it coz they never see with their own eyes. Most ppl believe the glass is most important. "Glass is most important" believe is outdated oredi. It only applies to film era. It was all about the glass n type of film used in those days. Dont like it, can change to more expensive film. In digital cameras, the sensor is stuck there so if u dont like it ur stuck with the body. It's like using cheap film n being stuck with it with no option to change to better film.

Hmmm, this is weird... hmm.gif
I felt that my 85L II focuses faster with the 5DII compared to my 7D in lowlight or daylight scene...
But I use the 85L II with full aperture and centre focusing pint lah, not sure when using other points... smile.gif

yup i use it will largest aperture and center focusing point as well smile.gif
that's the reason why i prefer to have my 85L to stick to my 7D when shooting events

Only until you got a camera that out-resolves the lens. Of course, for me, glass would yeild that larger quantum of quality improvement.

But, you are right..... but I think the other issue is that all cameras will have default NR applied (unless you shoot exclusively in RAW) and/or how strong is the AA filter.
Only question is....how much.
