hmm, reminded me about hacken lee & alam tham concert in bukit jalil, they said NO camera allowed. After went in, saw ppl with bazooka & monopod, i wondered n go ask them how they managed get pass the gate, they say

"Easy nia, ask fren carry the lens in their bag, he carry the body in his bag, enter separate lane loooo......, as long u don't brandish yo gears when entering...." LOL

Wah, you finally expose this seecret brows.gif That is what I normally do when I go for concert. laugh.gif Seems to work everytime!
@mauinsons: Well, maybe because they have this concept where everyone who is holding big camera are going to use the photos taken from the concert for commercial use. Whereas normal digital camera you can't zoom far as well as maintain the picture quality. laugh.gif

Who says beginner cannot buy good stuff, my daughter oso know nothing about SLR n she's using 1D with L lenses. tongue.gif. Besides, what's so luxurious about 550D? laugh.gif
No la... since i have limited $$, think that if the Tamron 17-50mm is too early(as a beginer) to have, in stead of having the kit lense 18-55mm.

if you already have an eye for tat lens & got budget, y bother beginner or advance, just buy n play, if not suit u anymore, can always sell it off...lens won't depreciate so much.

QUOTE(mauinsons @ Jun 17 2010, 03:56 PM)
Saw in previous page about DSLR = Digital Camera.... which reminds me of the incidents that I always encounter during concert in Genting

At the entrance there's a banner stating "no professional camera". How do they define "professional camera"? I always ask the staffs but none can answer and will only say "no photography allowed". I followed up with "what if I see people snapping photos with a DC?", answer is "you go to stop them".... WTH!!

And always before concert starts, the screen will only show "no flash allowed". So we can still take photo without flash? then how come can't bring in camera??

I'm confused sad.gif

Last time I went up to Genting to watch a concert by Astro, I used my 70-200 with no hassle. No flash la of course. Probably depends on who checks you when you're entering the place. laugh.gif

50mm won't be wide enough for landscape, especially on a APS-C body
