In fact you know what? Go ahead and buy a hood that looked big enough for you. And I bet you right after you shoot once you will regret buying it.

the bigger your hood is the bigger ur lense is the more *NO, NO!* you get from those places that some don allow SLR unless u put in bag

Don't bother with the 18-55 IS's hood. It's so shallow, its useless. I use to have one last time, so I know.
