to reflash firmware any winxp will do. to reflah emmc. make sure you update to winxp sp3 first. if not you will wait forever for the correct driver detection. hope this infor is helpful for those who want to reflash their phone.

everything will be much faster for phone interface like open browser, scrolling, typing, opening softwares. Load web is depending on your internet connection not OC.

If u OC and unOC u will feel uneasy because 600mhz is just too slow

Even phone boot up u can feel the difference.

Without OC = 10sec
AFter OC = 5sec

I would not say 600MHz is too slow. It's fine for normal usage.
But if you're heavy multitasker then OC is recommend.

As far as I know there are only two person so far with completely bricked phones after OC-ing.
And both of them OC-ed till 1.2GHz.
Anything lower than 900MHz should be safe I think.

the fact that many have successfully overclocked the OMAP 3430 to 900 Mhz shows that the processor is quite a highly efficient performer.
Besides, the OMAP3 processor family ranges from 600Mhz to 1Ghz.
However, pushing it to 1ghz is risky.... 900 Mhz or below coupled with the GPU on board is enuf to improve da device's performance significantly....

Added on June 12, 2010, 12:20 pmDroid is using da same processor to but downclocked by Motorola to 550...
but if u read around, it's also being "push to the limits"
