no, its like u see a 'light' in the middle while ur wide area is dark... like thos UFO beeming u up light... lol

already tried it, gnna post the pic later. i see, so that's the flash zoom at 200mm and lens 18mm, like vignette effect lol. thumbup.gif

yup yup~~ like vigneting,... so now u know how the 200mm zoom flash will show up in the picture of wide angle, that is how the flash will travel also when u set the flash zoom to auto, it will follow the length/shape of ur zoom lens. if u zoom to 200mm to shoot, the flash will zoom too so it wont waste its flash power to lit the corner, but focus in the middle wink.gif

Bare YN460 camera right about 3-4 feet away for fill
Bare YN460 at the wall for background

since we're at it, if you guys have to recommend sticking with one light modifier, which one would it be? The softbox? Or a shoot-thru umbrella? Or a 5-in-1 reflector and use the translucent panel as a softbox/shoot-thru material?

Also, is there any place that gives out free gel samplers?
