how should we 'hide' the flash if we place it behind our subject?
*
well normally the light from the flash should pretty much "hide" the flash itself already. smile.gif

since we're at it, if you guys have to recommend sticking with one light modifier, which one would it be? The softbox? Or a shoot-thru umbrella? Or a 5-in-1 reflector and use the translucent panel as a softbox/shoot-thru material?

Also, is there any place that gives out free gel samplers?
*
I would recommend a softbox for a better lighting directing, besides it's more solid and would last longer than the umbrella setup.

chucky, 580ex2 can act as master on 3digitD body?
*
the flash itself has master mode so it doesnt matter what body u use.

even the 550EX has it.

I think ur light box lighting still got leakage, lol.... You should not have shadows for your object rite.... Correct me if I'm wrong
*
There would still be shadows because there's only one light source, He should've used a white reflector to bounce back some light to eliminate the shadows instead.

However though D-I-Y softboxes will never be produce that softness as the real ones, unless you're a master at making these otherwise just spend on a real one, a 24x24 inch is only like, RM160?

Anyway, buns anyone?
